Thank you very much. Elizabeth Montgomery loved Marion Lorne and accepted the Emmy on Marion Lorne's behalf. From what I've read, Elizabeth gave a wonderful acceptance speech. I've been trying to find a copy. When they began season two, the cast noticed that Alice Pierce had lost weight. So she got the cast and crew together and told them of her condition. Everybody did everything to help her. One time she started to criticize her appearance. Elizabeth stopped her. They became very close, along with Paul Davis, Alice's husband. He owned an art shop/store and Liz would shop there and was always nice to his employees.. The episode THE PRODIGY was postponed from its original air date and placed as the last episode of season two, as an honor to Alice Pierce. In season three, Paul Davis directed two episodes. Kasey Rogers was a real friend of the show and its fans. She would arrange for fans to be able to visit Warner Ranch. Elizabeth Montgomery had issues with York to the point that she wanted him fired. William Froug, third season producer, recounts his meeting that he had with Bill Asher with Elizabeth in the room. He tells of Liz's feelings toward York. Froug used the pronoun "him' in the interview. Trout asked Asher, "Who is him?" Asher said, Dick York. York used to gape at Liz, which she hated. Another thing, when York fainted onset, he had gone into a coma, according to Bill Asher. The doctors tried to revive him, so they Asher to come in. He did and just talked to him. Finally, Dick York came out of it. The appeal of BEWITCHED was and still are the actors and the characters that they brought to life. The show, thanks to reruns, way back when and now, video tapes, DVDs, and now streaming services, BEWITCHED lives on, as does those who made this possible. BEWITCHED was one of the first TV series that addressed social issues such as, racism, bigotry, single parents raising kids, acceptance of those who are different. Endora and Maurice had a unique marriage. But at the heart of all of this series is love. No matter what Sam's family tried, they couldn't break up their marriage. As Sam told her mother once, she met Darrin and it was love at first site. As an introduction to a client later, Sam would tell him, "Don't give him to much credit. I picked him.' BEWITCHED had so many great main and guest characters. The zany Uncle Arthur, the adorable Aunt Clara, Endora and Maurice, Dr. Bombay, the whacky Serena, and the mortal characters. But of all of the characters, Samantha is the intermediary between two worlds, hers and the mortal world. In ENDORA MOVES IN FOR A SPELL, Samantha laid the law down to her Uncle Arthur and her Mother. She tried to see both sides the mortal world and witches world. She told them that enough is enough. Sam told them that has now sides, all in the direction of her family. Elizabeth Montgomery brought much of her own personality to Samantha, a loving and caring wife and mother, but someone with a strength and a woman who knows herself and will fight for what she believes in. This is who Elizabeth was. People say, Samantha IS Elizabeth! ❤

What a fantastic comment! Thank you for watching and bringing value to the content. I like it very much. I'm also happy that you liked it. Regarding your quote from William Froug, I also watched this interview. What a shame, because the two really were unbeatable on stage. Thanks again for watching and participating. Be always welcome!

A couple of more little tidbits- Agnes Moorehead had initially turned down the role of Endora. Then one day Elizabeth Montgomery ran into Agnes at a clothing store. Liz said to her she was upset when she found out that Agnes turned down the role to play her mother. She was a big fan and had told her husband that Agnes was perfect for the role. Moorehead said after talking to Liz, she had to play the mom, that Liz was so charming and convincing. There was 1 condition, that Agnes played in 8 episodes less each season in order to do other things like radio. She did the 1st "Sorry Wrong Number" and the famous Orson Wells' "War of the Worlds" radio performance that scared America into believing it was really being invaded in real time. Orson loved Moorehead's talent and put her in many of his movies (Citizen Kane for one) and radio shows. Another must-see performance was in the original TV series "The Twilight Zone" where a tiny alien spaceship lands on Agness character's porch. There is no dialogue, just Moorehead and the tiny alien. Also, Aunt Clara really did collect doorknobs in real life and the door knobs in the episodes were from her own collection.

5:07 Endora did NOT ever claim to have met “Otzi the Iceman”. Otzi wasn’t even discovered until 1991 so that would be quite impossible.
