like everyone else is saying, this is such a nice trip back in time. COSI was my favorite place as a child when they moved buildings I thought, "Wow now COSI can be even better!" Ah, my innocence...as we all can attest to...new COSI is just not at all the same kind of experience as this COSI. Also very sad they don't have that Wendy's anymore. I loved COSI of this era so much and honestly, I wish I could go back in time and visit this place again. But this video is the closest thing to it, so thanks again!

What a nostalgia hit! Thanks for sharing. The Street of Yesteryear, the Time Tunnel, all the American Presidents, Focault's Pendulum with the little pegs getting knocked over... So great.

I never liked the new building as much as the old one. The Streets of Yesteryear was my favorite attraction. I was so sad they didn’t redo that. The talking car, the movie theater and all the little shops. I loved the faux cobblestone streets. Great video!

In 1979 I was a student at Fort Hayes, and I was randomly selected to help with a project being created by OSU students. I had to play the part of a purse snatcher and was filmed in a classroom at Fort Hayes set up to look like a department store. The film was about observation and paying attention to your surroundings. That video was part of an exhibit at COSI and it was in place for more than 25 years. I'm sure it's long gone by now, but I always hoped that someone might have inadvertantly shot video at COSI and it would end up here. Thanks for the memory.

I worked there during the summer of 1998 and had a lot of fun, though made very little money. I've never been to their new space, and doubt I will go because I don't want it to spoil my memories of the way it used to be. My favorite thing to do was to STOP THE PENDULUM at night!

duuuuude thankyou for posting this...I have thought of going there as a child many times over the years. I moved to Florida after high school, and I never got to go to cosi again. It was like a magical place, especially the old town with the Nickelodeon, and all the little shops, and windows looking into houses, truly was magical to my little girl self. The last time I went was right before moving to Fl, and they had this mynah bird somewhere in the old town part, and that thing talked up a storm, I could barely tear myself away and move on it was so awesome. The only part that you did not include that I would like to have seen, is the part where they have like fetuses, and body parts in glass containers, preserved. I remember that having a profound affect on my young brain. The images are very vivid in my mind, still, and its been 35 yrs. Again, thanks for getting this on tape and sharing it!

I went there in 1980 with either my church or scout group. They gave us free tickets for the year 2000. My sister and I threw them away. We thought that at 30+31 we'd be too old to go anywhere. Now we're 50+51 and we travel all the time. We've driven from Ohio to California, North Dakota, New Orleans, the keys, New York. We were some stupid little kids. IDK how we survived in the pre-helmet 70's and 80's lol

having gone there as a kid about 30yrs ago and also a month ago with my kids, i can say that it's still a great kids interactive museum. they probably have transported the majority of the exhibits or recreated in some way. it will still never be the same, but it's a very fun place to visit

Do any of you remember the cave man exhibit with the big dinosaur,I believe it was a T-rex, at the end? Ok now how many of you remember when it would roar and lunge at you? I got so mad when we went up there a year or so later, same group of idiots with me, and the neither the lights went out nor did the dinosaur roar and lunge. Our Church, school, and scout troops took us from Portsmouth to Columbus for field trips because we were not welcome at one business in Scioto county. Even though we had a skating rink a few miles east of Portsmouth we had to go to Ashland kentucky whenever one of our leaders would go off their meds again. Lol
