Really hate what happened to digsite, mcc mods was the only halo related stuff I was looking forward to aside from a new game bc I didn't really like infinite

Feel you on this, but honestly this is a blessing. Cuz think about it, most of the main digsite crew that produced Crash Site, Alpha Moon, and E3 Demo left before this even happened. Now this is open to public for everyone to get a shot at, when it could’ve easily been shelved away forever. Cuz without Digsite, you know MS wasn’t gonna spend any money to continue these mods…but who knows for sure. Either way, this leak has Half-Life levels of modding potential. New weapons, maps, campaigns, multiplayer, etc.

Just saying this leak is disappointing and the guy who did it should have leaked it after getting access to real good stuff like the source code of the hektools && halo.exe (for at least for 1 game) , this pack is just Assets , maya/max scripts and some compiled executables && documentation that for the most part could be recreated or are not necessary like scripts, as for the cut h123r levels and other tags they could have waited, the Biggest "win" included in this leak is the compiled HEK tools for VISTA and PC/CE that are unlocked or for debugging. This Leak fluked any chances of a REAL GOOD code leak of getting my hands of more Blam! or the Tools source code, what a shame since that could have speedup the process of getting an open source-port for custom edition running or better for 2/3 or Reach. Right now i don't have a complete halo's source file. The archive doesn't benefit anyone but people who care about tags in the short term since Microsoft is probably never going let outsiders get their hands on more of their halo stuff. This is Bad in the long run.

Even though these guys are whining about not getting paid and may have just ruined digsite for everybody.. this is amazing and they have some serious talent. Makes me wonder if they’re recreating these builds and demo’s or if they’re actually somehow finding this stuff in the files of CE and Halo 2. I used to dabble in modding CE and found no evidence in the files of anything like this. Mind you, wasn’t great at it but I spent a lot of time modding.
