The Original Magic Kingdom Was In Missouri? The Town Walt Disney Was Raised In | Exploring Marceline

We are crossing off a BIG item on our bucket list in this video! During our trip home for the holidays Tim and I were able to sneak away for a small road trip. We rented a car for the day and drove 3 hours from Saint Louis to Marceline, Missouri. It was a peaceful drive as we discovered just HOW small the town was and how remote this area of Missouri is. We explored the original Main Street, USA where Walt Disney's vision for the main hub at Disneyland and Walt Disney World derived. We took a tour through the Walt Disney Hometown Museum and bought some fun souvenirs. We even went inside the local toy store and imagined what it was like for Walt to grow up here at a small boy being raised on a farm. But I think the most pure moment on the trip was walking out to the barn behind the family farmhouse. It was a whole feeling that really sealed the day for us. To be standing where the fountain of dreams began...and to walk the same path as the ultimate storyteller...was indeed, magical. We definitely want to come back...but probably when its warmer ;) Thanks for joining us on our adventure!
