I make mine the same way, it is my favorite cake.. growing up as a child, my mom use to make this cake every year for my birthday, I didn't want any other cake, now I'm 61 and I still love this cake

I made this for a birthday and he loved it! I have a stand mixer so the next time I will beat the egg whites then set them aside, make the batter and fold in the whites later. It will be easier than transferring the batter. Delicious cake and I wonderful commentary during the video.
