The Sheik was very good. He could take a solid bump and really sell it. Bobo and Ed Farhat must have been great friends. They worked together for 30 years. Two of the genuine legends of wrestling!

Yea, you can tell Sheik really respected Bobo...He didn't work like that with too many people. But he wasn't afraid to take a bump for Bobo!

Fun Fact when Ed was running Cobo Arena on Saturday nights he would invite the boys over for Sunday dinner in Lansing.. Bobo was not allowed to eat at the main table because of Kayfabe...

This feud was one the greatest in wrestling history; certainly in the history of Detroit-area wrestling.

This was the longest running fued in wrestling history. They started in the late 50's, and were still going at it in the early 90's. Over 40 years! Incredible!

Delighted to be a new subscriber. I was 7-years-old when my father brought me to see Bobo vs. the Sheik in 1967. It was fantastic.

Back when fans didn't have the attention span of a gnat. You could do inconclusive finishes, take time, build a solid rivalry and keep things fresh. WWE has what...16 hours of programming a week? Rivalries burn out too easily. I hate sports entertainment. Give me Golden Age Pro wrestling any day.

He got me. Bobo made me look STUPID at 5:17. I thought he was (understandably reluctantly) being a good sport, and the whole time I woulda been CLAWING the Sheik's little bit of brains out of his skull.

Did anyone ever notice that Bobo Brazil never bleeds in his matches with The Sheik?
@phillipbroady11816 жыл бұрын
Tommygun1028 he did two blead I watched then since 1960 bobo did. Blead nobody didn't blead in the ring with the sheik. Or you got fire in your face. Just like Abdullah the Butcher. You bleeding in your contract ok I was watching since I was a kid then I got my chance to be a prowestler my self. Ok trust me to sell tickets means money for everyone that night the more blood the money in your pockets. Ok If you take a aspern before you go in the.ring you get cut you will poor blood if cut or busted open. Ok people. Ok

Every great once in a while... bobo didn't like to get juiced mostly were blood packets and plus it wasn't very effective on black wrestlers because of dark skin

Great stuff. The Bobo was a DIRTY wrestler! That CoCo Butt should have been made illegal. I remember driving up the The Aud in Buffalo back in the early 70's and seeing The Sheik wrestled the World InterContinental United States Champion Flying Fred Curry. The match lasted all of 30 seconds. After Fred turned to walk back to this corner and remove his belt, The Sheik attacked, took the strap and beat Fred unconscious. No fire, just some blood from that belt to the head. The Sheik won again but no transfer of the belt since he was disqualified.

Would this be the same match of theirs that was included on The Golden Era of Wrestling Vol. #1 VHS?
@mr.mirchenstein65494 жыл бұрын
They had 30 years worth of matches. A Legendary feud to say the least

chainsaw barbarian El Monstro was Tony González at first, and then Sal Lothario. Terrible gimmick. It was the beginning of the end of Los Angeles wrestling.
