you guys missed it, they needed (hijacked) the ancestors power to stop Lucian. it's a one time thing, and the connection to the ancestors has been broken (severed). no one has that kind of power now to stop marcel.

Davina was family to him, she was like a daughter and Marcel isn’t forbid Davina to see Kol because that’s exactly what Klaus did to him and Rebekah. Marcel is right. He needs to know his place? That’s exactly why he’s above the Mikaelsons.

Elijah screwed things up when he showed up at the bridge. Klaus pretty much had Marcel talked down until he showed up! Now Marcel is the most powerful vampire alive now because the Mikaelsons couldn’t see past their mistakes! Marcel was speaking nothing but facts. I see both sides of the situation but I’m mostly see things Marcel’s way

ngl they did marcel so dirty specifically elijah he used to bully bro so much lmao make him feel as like literally he is below them and just bullied him always atleast when klaus used to bite him or something he would give him the cure or apologize to some extent he also did want them to kill davina nor did he want marcel to die but he got punished for it which was insane it shouldve been elijah tbh but i think this is also were the show started to get dry cause the next seasons are meh with not gonna say her name but yea

You know As much as I didn't like how Davina went and how much people will argue and launch blame and all that. When you look at it from the persepectives given in terms of executing everything... I don't see how it would have worked out. Now yes... They could have gone out and killed and INNOCENT witch to get the access. But then... That's killing a bystander (which they would do... But the fact that they didn't speaks to how they had... Changed ? Or became more... Subdued in their pursuits) So one way that Freya saw after thinking about possible fixes is to use the access they have right there (as bad as Davima's death was). And they did not take that option immediately (again a change in how they treat others). Though to be fair, they couldve talked to her and she probably would have agreed (to help save Kol, and maybe some direction or preparation from Freya and Kol's magic knowledge). But ultimately... It all came down to time. Rebekah was targeted, Klaus and Hayley were out. More stakes were added. Now... Even though Freya stalled, and tried to find other means... She wasn't finding an angle for saving them all. While all this was happening, please remember that there was another team: Kol and Marcel (Vincent) So it was a time crunch on both sides. Freya did her parts effectively (finding her solution, albeit a unfavorable one and saving Davina (which also took time from her trying to take Lucien down)) But Kol and Marcel took a long time to get the necessary steps to resurrect Davina. And let's be fair... No time crunch, non of all this would have happened aways. The Ancestors were dead set on getting Davina, so they would have broken that barrier to get her if they got impatient enough, or use Kol again since he was tainted by their magic. Honestly, they should have made Freya resurrect Davina as well, while they worked on the Lucien angle (Freya has proven time and time again that she comes through in crutch situations; and her plans are effective). But all this came down to time: No time to find effective alternatives Too long to for the resurrection Any longer and Hayley probably would have died as they wouldn't have Elijah and Freya showing up as back-up But it was messed up on all ends frankly. Not a favorable position to be in for anyone at all

s4 and 5 of TO has the worst writing , way worse than tvd , not to mention the problematic tropes , falling in love with your abductor ( freya and keelin ) , white knight who tries to kill his black son after “ saving him” ( klaus and marcel ) , elijah’s character was ruined halfway through , some things made no sense , the hollow wasn’t explained well , and the idea that rebekah should be sorry to klaus ?? after he abused and daggered her for hundreds of years ?? just because she called michael makes no sense , most female characters in general were just there to be used and make the male characters look good , aurora for another example who was just mentally ill , i could go on but ultimately , tvd had great writing at the start , julie plec ruined tvd toward the end and to , she’s misogynistic and racist and even the actors admitted it .
