I've noticed alot of Hayley in Hope in this scene. Not just in the sassy one liner, "I'm 7 not stupid," but in the way she talks and the way she moves (body language) is so much like Hayley, nicely done. Of course with a dash of Klaus' cockiness/confidence I'm really enjoying the way they are fleshing out Hope as her own character!

But then, as always, Elijah's love for his blood family proved stronger than all else. Which is why Elijah distanced himself from Marcel so that he and Klaus would grow closer. Which is also why Elijah 'killed' Marcel. Ultimately, for over a thousand years, Elijah's 2 main goals were his blood family's protection and his little brother's redemption.

@@arellasamuel7866 Correction: KLAUS wanted to kill Marcel. Elijah was just willing to do whatever it takes to protect Hope. Sophie Deveraux linked her life to Hailey. If Hailey, and therefore Hope, wanted to live, Sophie's conditions had to be met and Sophie wanted Marcel to not be the ruler anymore and for Davina to return to the covens to complete the Harvest. So, in order to save his unborn niece, Elijah would do whatever he had to do. And that too in the best way he thought possible, no matter the collateral damage. Elijah valued Hope (and Hailey, but thats a different story) nore than he valued Marcel because Hope was his ACTUAL niece. And that blood relation was more important to him than any love he had for Marcel. Of course there was also the resentment that he had mourned Marcel even though Marcel was alive and didnt try to find the Mikaelsons. I am not saying his thought process is right, but it is understandable. His blood family was his only constant in a world that changed so much in life. So OF COURSE it would be more important.

Young Hope was awesome, her character was confident and she was not afraid of herself, and she already knew she was different. They ruined her personality in Legacies, I understand her trauma after everything that happened, but she should have never been afraid of her power. Power is what the Mikaelsons are about, the power to protect what you love.
