Judith Gray exactly. Thats why it hurts so much. They never had the chance to explore anything meaningful. At the end she smiles bitterly like saying to herself: “This is it. Now I can close this chapter with him.” Because lets be honest, she knew he loved her at some point and she knew that he could always be an option for her. Like someone that you know you can always count on. But she never truly loved him like she loved Tyler or Stefan. I hate that so much because he never felt worthy of her. 😭

Contrary to popular opinion, i actually think this scene had just the perfect amounts of everything it should have had. A small but gentle talk between them, an adequately toned kiss, one last piece of wondeful advice from caroline to klaus, and overall closure to the klaroline relationship. Klaus is an amazing and powerful character, but it makes sense that the show about the original vamoire family ends with their desintegration. They can't last forever. They eventually had to come to an end even though their legacy will continue ( thus their motto, "always and forever").

I’m just throwing this out there.. I love The Vampire Diaries and The Originals, but I fucking hate how both the shows ended. Honestly TVD season 8 seemed like they ran out of ideas since Nina left. Then I felt like they killed off Stefan so Caroline could be happy with Klaus and they be a happy lil family with Hope and the Twins. Nope killed off Klaus too and stripped away the last bit of Caroline’s happiness. I feel bad for Hope and everyone else because the lost their precious loved one.. Also.. if Bonnie was there, I’m pretty sure she could of figured out a way to get rid of the Hollow with anyone dying. Honestly what happened to her? I didn’t understand that and why she wasn’t a teacher at Caroline’s school, did she die?? Cause like she made her own other side for supernatural beings. Another thing, if Davina was strong enough to fucking bring Michael back, why can’t Hope do the same for Klaus and Hayley in Legacies?? I’m huge TVD & TO fan and some of these ways everyone’s dying don’t really make all that much sense, especially since majority of everything on how Vampires, Werewolves, Witches, Hybrids, and Originals die and their weakness in TVD.

I think that the Originals ships were much stronger than Tvd's because there wasn't much of switching people and dating other it was kinda always like Hayley & Elijah, Klaus and Caroline save Cami, Rebekah and Marcel, and Kol and Davina. But most ended up dieing which was really sad. All that work of those really detailed and background stories relationships gone....

Bonnie is still around! Powerful witches are basically immortal, like Silas and Quetsiyah. and Bonnie was the most powerful witch of all (especially considering her age!) Imagine how powerful she'll be in 100 years! 🤩 Caroline will always have Bonnie :') the two besties foreverrrrr. Honestly bc Hailey was already gone, Elijah easily could have died alone- he was only living to keep his family from tearing each other apart and never got to live for himself aside when he lost his memories and even then- him choosing to go out on his own, granted dying to let his neice keep her father is still doing things for others, but he'd be choosing to be with Hailey and for him death was living bc he'd been alive for 1000 years- and has great as Klaus choosing others before himself is, him choosing to live for his daughter would have been epic- if he didn't have Hope then I think the ending the show had was fine but he did have Hope and he died bc he couldn't live without Elijah which yeah he's grown alot buts it's selfish- had he chose to live and left Elijah take the sacrifice, he'd be living for Hope, for Elijah, for Hailey- he was always chasing death but never life and Elijah was always chasing life- Elijah had a million reasons to stay like Hope, his family, life in general, but death was where he could find peace and be for himself for once- while Klaus needed to be for others and he was needed alive to do that- just an opinion

The thing about the series finale is that it could been easy to film a proper ending. The solution was literally right in front of them with a pretty bow. Have Elijah take the hollow and die so he could be at peace in the afterlife with Hayley. Elijah was never going to be at peace in the living, it made sense for him to die. He was constantly fighting for his brothers redemption and that's all he had become. However Klaus had finally redeemed himself and proved that he no longer required Elijah to guide him. So what, they reward Klaus' redemption with death and have Elijah's codependent ass follow him. It literally made no sense. Klaus deserved to live. Also there was no point of dragging poor Candice into this mess if they weren't planning on having Caroline and Klaus as end game, it was pointless and annoying. They just wanted ratings and in turn screwed over fans. It'll be interesting to see how long Legacies last. I was interested, but I've lost my appetite for Julie Plec's bs.

Till the very end, she counselled him and brought out his best, redeemable self, like Elijah and his family. She sped up his return to his daughter multiple times, wanting both his and Hope’s peace of mind. I like to think that after some time, he is brought back to life the way Kol was and they have a chance to live a life together, maybe even a human life later on with a family and then they die together notebook style, because that would be amazing. That is the beauty of the imagination my fellow fandom, because as much as you may not enjoy this ending, the real ending is the one we as fans provide to portray our investment and love for the characters. Hell it’s why fan fiction exists, so don’t be sad, be free to imagine and create to your heart’s content, I know I will.❤️😊
