I think one of the reasons Klaus killed Ansel the way he did, rather than ripping his heart out or snapping his neck or anything like that, is because it was less hands on. Usually he takes pleasure in feeling the life drain out of the people he kills, but with Ansel he didn't want that. He didn't really want to kill him, he just felt he had to in order to protect Hope. So he went for a less personal way of doing it. That's my takeaway anyway...

I hated that you left out basically every scene between Davina and Kol this episode. They were some of my favorite parts of the episode. I found it very interesting that we got to learn that Kol actually was a witch before being a vampire, and he was a prodigy at that. No wonder he’s enjoying being in the body of a witch, since he loves magic so much. I love seeing him as a witch, because we get to see more of his actual personality, without the brutality of his vampire side. He’s still mischievous, but without his wildness. Him and Davin a have great chemistry. I really like them together as well.

Cami played Finn perfectly. Love Marcel, Haley, Cami etc teaming up, good initiative. Joseph Morgan does a beautiful job showing the emotional turmoil from meeting and killing his father. The scenes between Klaus and Elijah are beautifully done, really solidifys how strong their bond is. Love the last scene with Marcel and Haley presenting their gifts, the dramatic flair is always appreciated. That plus the Cami getting taken are such great set up to end an episode on.

That's why I appreciate shows like Young Royals too, which cast young people who really look and act like teenagers. Not overly styled and dressed, not the heavily muscled 30 year olds, simply not perfect, but It felt real. And teenagers don't have to ask themselves, oh why don't I look perfect like them? I mean, I enjoy TVD and TO without a doubt for what they are. But in our real world, trimmed for pure perfection on Insta, ect. it's kind of a relief to normal people.

Mikael does want to kill Hope to thats why I don’t get the love for Davina she literally watched Mikael trying to kill Klaus, Hope and Marcel. So Klaus had to kill Ansel cuz Esther brought him back so if she investigates she would wonder why he’s being drawn away from New Orleans. It won’t take Mikael long to find out he’s back and since he loves killing wolves it’s only a matter of time.
