TO's does such a beautiful job at exploring family bonds. Freya and Finn's scenes together are sweet, it's intresting to see how close they were, he clearly adored her. Appreciate that they take time to focus on Elijah's trauma. Kol's character development is great. Elijah setting himself on fire is such a good scene. Hope's powerful af. So many brilliant performances this episode.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the season. Kol, Klaus, and Rebekah all working together, and Klaus trusting Kol fully was wonderful. I loved seeing Kol and Klaus have a hear to heart. I really like the actors who play Rebekah and Kol at the moment. They’re doing an amazing job. I like seeing them do magic together. Rebekah promising to help Kol was so sweet. Hope stopping the car to protect Cami was wild as well. I also liked seeing Freya and Finn interact. It’s interesting to find out they had a close relationship before she got taken away. They are the two oldest kids in the family.

I will never in my life forget how my mum and I thought that Hope blew up the house, because back then for the german prime time version the scene with Elijah taking his ring off etc. was cut (because it was too dark or whatever for this 'early' time). So we just saw the car stopping, the house exploding, the car starting again and then the shot of Hope... We didn't find out until we later saw that scene on the recap for the next ep. of which we watched the late night version. Something similar later happened with an episode of Outlander, I don't really trust the prime time versions anymore ever since 😆

Finn so far has been one of the best witches when it comes to taking on the mikaelsons, as much as I hate Finn, seeing him take down Elijah like that was epic. The actor made me like this version of his character and respect him as a villain. Hope stopping the car then, Elijah lighting the house on fire, then Cami turning realizing what she did was such a cool sequence to end off the already amazing episode!

Finn is really no better than his siblings or parents. At least his siblings would never murder a baby, especially their family member. He is way more evil when he isn't even in his Original Vampire body. That whole caterpillar comment had me dying!

Really? you think Klaus has never in his 1000 years of killing ever hurt a baby? He has bragged about feeding and killing entire villages, it is safe to assume that includes women, children, the whole thing... We might not like Finn but he is not the biggest monster in the family, not by a long shot

@@Alewaxon I'm pretty sure he never directly killed a baby. Mikael is definitely a bigger monster as well as Esther, but Finn was going to do something none of the others would do. That makes him worse in a way. Klaus turned into a monster because of Mikael, but Elijah was always there for Klaus to make sure he never did something that evil. That's all they talk about is how Elijah kept Klaus in check. He would kill an older kid like Tim or Monique if he felt threatened, but I do not think he would kill a baby.

@@BrianR246 They never showed him doing it, but that doesn't mean that he didn't... We have to work on assumptions and what we know of him: he has said that he has gone thru entire villages (and has a tendency to play with his food, with informs about his view on human life) and he has never said that he is against attacking a child on principle; like for example Elijah said point blank that even in terrible hunger he would never feed on a child. And it doesn't do much to better Klaus character if you have to say that the only reason he couldn't have done something like that is because Elijah would've stopped him... We know that he would kill kids like the ones you named and others but not only "if he felt threatened", he tortured and killed Tim for far more pitiful reasons than that.... Also, Esther and Mikael are among the reasons why he is like that, big reasons, big catalyst for sure among others; but let's not forget Klaus how responsibilities for his actions, a lot of the times in naming the reasons why we UNDERSTAND why a character like Klaus is the way he is we can go too far into relieving said character of the responsibilities for their own actions. Klaus himself is a guilty party in the making of the monster he became.

@@Alewaxon You don't have to agree with me. I just assume he never did something as evil as that because he wasn't pure evil like the psychos that hurt children. He was always running from Mikael to so you also have to assume he may have been exaggerating for his reputation because he would never risk his father finding him. Elijah wouldn't either. And going through a village doesn't necessarily mean that he slaughtered babies. Just my opinion.

@@BrianR246 I don't mean to insinuate that you CAN'T make the assumption you are making, my point is only that you can easily make the opposite assumption based of what we know... I mean, this whole show started with Klaus in the first episode telling Elijah to kill Hayley and the baby and that was his own child, I can very well imagine that he would be even less bothered with someone else's. And that part about 'Exaggerating for his reputation' and ' he would never risk his father finding him' it's actually wrong and the show has told us so... We know for a fact that Klaus (and Kol) killed everything that moved and risked getting found out by Mikael everywhere they went, Elijah was always the one yelling at him about keeping a low profile and how his actions would attract Mikael's attention... We saw several flashbacks that showed us that very thing, Elijah urging Klaus to keep a low profile and Klaus not listening and killing by the docents: It happened with the events that lead to Celeste death, it happened when Klaus was jealous of Elijah getting to close to Marcel and it happened all the way back in the flashback the showed us in TVD with the Brotherhood of the Five when Elijah tells Klaus that 'with him killing so many here and Kol doing the same somewhere else, they haven't been discrete'
