Blafard666 From what I've read, in Latin America the reception has in general been very positive. The sincere attempt by Hollywood with its high production values to represent life in Colombia 20 years ago combined with mostly Latin American actors all speaking Spanish is a first. The wacky accents from the diverse cast cause great amusement in Colombia but inadvertently make people all over the continent feel the show is representative of ALL of their experiences. Not necessarily the drug war of course but the broad cultural similarities of all of these countries.

I just read something along the lines of "an overnight success can take years of work". He's been stage and TV-acting since 1997 or something. It's also whom you know. His best friend Sarah Paulson's best friend Amanda Peet (also a TV actress) is married to one of the creators of Game of Thrones. It's helped him get his home-made audition tape to them. I guess that kind of networking helps eventually. Unfortunately it's not enough to be talented. Like any other job I guess... acting on TV or in movies just pays more :) Theater notoriously doesn't.
