Professor Sami Al-Arian joins us to offer an analysis of the ongoing ethnic cleansing that Israel is committing against the Palestinian people with the support of the US.
Sami Al-Arian's parents were forced to leave their homes in the 1948 Nakba (the creation of Israel) and became refugees in Gaza. After becoming a university professor in the US, Prof. Al-Arian's was persecuted by the US government in the post September 11 era. After imprisonment and a sham "trial", Prof. Al-Arian agreed to be deported to Turkey, to save his family the cost and stress of continuing to fight the US federal government in court. Prof. Al-Arian was honored with Community Church's annual Sacco & Vanzetti award in 2022.

Besides them, many Arab sources confirm the fact that the Holy Land was still Jewish by population and culture in spite of the Diaspora: ·In 985 c.e. the Arab writer Muqaddasi complained that in Jerusalem the large majority of the population were Jewish, and said that "the mosque is empty of worshippers..." . ·Ibn Khaldun, one of the most creditable Arab historians, in 1377 c.e. wrote: "Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel extended over 1400 years... It was the Jews who implanted the culture and customs of the permanent settlement". After 300 years of Arab rule in the Holy Land, Ibn Khaldun attested that Jewish culture and traditions were still dominant. By that time there was still no evidence of "Palestinian" roots or culture . ·The historian James Parker wrote: "During the first century after the Arab conquest [670-740 c.e.], the caliph and governors of Syria and the [Holy] Land ruled entirely over Christian and Jewish subjects. Apart from the Bedouin in the earliest days, the only Arabs west of the Jordan were the garrisons". Even though the Arabs ruled the Land from 640 c.e. to 1099 c.e., they never became the majority of the population. Most of the inhabitants were Christians (Assyrian and Armenian) and Jews.

Thank you so much for being another voice that helps many of us understand what has happened. I'm a late comer to the cause of the Palestinians but have been actively educating myself to the history. I'm so appalled by my countries complicity, the US, in denying Palestinians of their rights, freedom, self-determination & the right to their own state on lands that they occupied for centuries. I'm an American & have never been more ashamed of my government as I am today.

The blockade exists because a terrorist group with an explicit intention to destroy Israel was elected in 2006. That doesn't make the tragedy any less tragic, but God damn it we really need to stop pressuring the Biden Administration to just abandon israel. You've got it wrong, and President Biden has it right. It's not just Israel imposing the blockade, it's also egypt. And it's necessary. They tried to prevent the terrorists from getting stuff they could use for attacking israel, and they only let certain Goods through the blockade, and the stuff they lit in was used to make war tunnels. And the guy in this video is being extremely deceptive. Do you think the nakba would have happened if five Arab states hadn't attacked Israel in 1948? He didn't mention that at all! He implied that the British and the Jews had a secret plan to do some ethnic cleansing and whatnot, and then he goes right on to saying that they displaced the Palestinians in 1948 but he doesn't mention Israel was defending itself! The Arab nations in the region also attacked before Israel even existed, 12 years earlier in 1936 the Arab Revolt in response to Too Much Jew immigration. Check carefully before you take the side of the evil actors in This situation. The whole damn world has lost its mind, except for Joe Biden continuing to stand with israel. This is not the time for a ceasefire. The jihadists all over the world smell blood. You and others are teaching the jihadists that they can attack Israel in the most Unthinkable way and then win the war of public opinion. No ceasefire, Jewish lives matter, don't jump in with the virtue signaling. Do what's right.

I am also trying to educate myself on this subject and so far have found that there is a common thread in the support for Palestinians. It is all the ordinary people across the globe that are supporting them, but not the leaders. That is very telling in itself. We all want justice and freedom for all people but it seems we are slaves to the system that has been designed by the elite to keep us down. The world is being run by a very small minority of elite and powerful, and they have bought the loyalty of the politicians. You’ve nothing to be ashamed of - you’ve spoken out and not turned a blind eye. I am relieved to know that the ordinary American citizens still stand for freedom and justice. The current situation calls for a monumental change in world order - it is much bigger than than Israel v Hamas. We need to have a multipolar system where there is no one superpower. A very careful balance of power. Who knows, if all the Palestinian Allies got together at the end of all this and reformed all world treaties, and the UN, better still, establish a new impartial UN with full authority to carry out their duties as world peacekeepers, and to enforce international law, without exception. Israel has lost, and so has the US. Both governments have dug their own grave, they should do the honorable thing and fall in their swords. I just hope there are good replacements coming down the tracks.

@@berniefynn6623The territory was under the Ottoman Enpire for centuries. Even IF what you said is true, does that make it ok for Israel to commit apartheid? To routinely murder hundreds of unarmed, innocent, TRAPPED people? To make prisoners of children, with no charge, holding them for years? Zionists involved or who approve of this are heart-LESS, they've shown themselves cruel and sadistic. There are real Jews who care about the 10 Commandments- they are right when they say Zionists have put nation expansion 1st, at any cost. Unless you recognize that, your ideology has blinded you.

No newidealism you are being dishonest. The prof is saying Jewish militias expelled the PALESTINIANS (i.e., local inhabitants and he means christians and muslims). The stream of refugees to nearby countries carried on for months. Then the nearby ARAB states decided to invade or intervene. Such behaviour by military is unusual when there is a refugee crisis that takes on amajor proportion i.e.., affecting 80 perecnt of the population. Of course this was necessary for Jewish militias to do this. Because there would not be a Jewish majority in areas allocated to Jews. How could you have a "Jewish state' that the western powerd wanted to exist there according to their plans where Jews are a minority? So Israel had to do it. Very logical just admit they did the ethnic cleansing and get on with life. And of course get it through your head Palestinian from Haifa is not an ARAB from Baghdad. What Arab rulers did cannot be an excuse for what Israel has done to Palestinians.

Google "Hadith about the gahrqan tree" and then tell me Islam does not include any teaching that calls for enmity or fighting. Just before the 11 minute mark, he does something very tricky and dishonest. He speculates that the British and the Jews had a plan to invade and expel as many people as possible. Then he immediately says "that's what happened in 1948." Why does he not mention the fact that in 1948 Israel was defending itself against attackers that had support from 5 Arab nations. (I'm not Jewish either, I'm an Irish guy in worcester. And I'm appalled at all of you supporting the terrorists instead of supporting israel.) The Arabs attacked the Jews in 1936, too, before Israel even existed. How are all of you very smart people missing this part of the history?

@@deborahdean8867thanks deborah, this is important stuff. You linked to 3 minutes and 8 seconds, the time stamp for the lie about Islam not including any teaching that calls for enmity or conflict. All throughout the Quran and the hadiths, Muhammad is talking all kinds of smack about Jews and saying God told him. So at this point, I think any Muslim with any decency needs to clearly renounce and condemn those parts of the religion that are inherently anti-jew.

@@newidealism3894 I think its high time we started minding our own business , and let israel and the middle east work it out. You wont find any sympathy from me. If islam is so directed to destroy Jews, why then have the muslims protected the jews for centuries? Before ww1 Britain made war with the ottoman empire and Britain started all this mess in the middle east and double crossed both jews and arabs. But there were no Jews fleeing persecution etc etc before then. All that is due to war and conflict Britain and the US have caused. And today they are persecuted NOWHERE. Nobody hates the US because they are Christians and nobody hates the jews because they follow judeaism . Everyone knows both don't. Israel thinks God Almighty wants them to rule, while they disregard every Torah law in the book. Sodom and gommorah. I'm sure God doesn't need the help of the US to give anybody anything. Go ahead, go around the world cheating, robbing, and trying to destroy and subject others and see how people treat you. God Himself told all peoples the consequences of breaking His law.

No no what Muhammad is referring to Jews that he was at war with not because they are Jews. That is my take. If what you say is right then Muslims would not once but twice allow Jews to return to Jerusalem when the Crusaders expelled them. Much of what is written is about failed alliances. Jews are people of the book. So no problem. now from wiki:In the Constitution of Medina, Jews were given equality to Muslims in exchange for political loyalty.[3][13] However, after each major battle with the Medinans, there were accusations of Jewish tribal treachery for aiding the enemies of the community in violation of the Constitution of Medina. After Badr and Uhud, the Banu Qainuqa and Banu Nadir, respectively, were expelled "with their families and possessions" from Medina.[citation needed] According to The Jewish Encyclopedia, Muhammad became increasingly hostile to the Jews over time. He grew to perceive that there were irreconcilable differences between their religion and his, especially when the belief in his prophetic mission became the criterion of a true Muslim."[14] When the Jewish community challenged "the way in which the Quran appropriated Biblical accounts and personages; for instance, its making Abraham an Arab and the founder of the Kaa’bah at Mecca" Muhammad "accused them of intentionally concealing its true meaning or of entirely misunderstanding it, and taunted them with being."[14] It is, however, important to note that neither the Quran, or Islamic exegesis called Abraham an Arab, and that The Jewish Encyclopedia was completed in 1906 and western scholarship on Islam at the time was heavily influenced by Orientalism.[15][16][17]
