I stayed at the Orleans with my sister both times we went there. Loved our room and the casino. The buffet was good for the price, but I woudln't mind trying it now that it is refurbished.

“The veal fell out of the parmigian.” My kind of humor! Thanks for the reviewing the “new” Orleans buffet. I visited them earlier this year and I found the refurb and redecoration made the space more airy and bright. The salad bar items definitely improved, I’ve always loved their clam chowder, and this time the bread pudding with vanilla sauce knocked me silly. South-of-the border food does not find a place in my diet, but I am happy to hear you say they spiced things up a bit; bland is not a good thing when describing food. So they increased the price somewhat. That’s not a big deal to me, ‘cause when I go to Las Vegas I do not go with the thought of pinching pennies. That attitude spoils my enjoyment.

Derek, been a fan of yours from the beginning, but some of the latest videos... how about a wide shot of the buffet area? The close up shots of the food are nice, but what about a wider shot of each station and the buffet as a whole? A breakdown on the new pricing? Are the drinks self-serve now? You used to never miss these and part of what set you above all the rest; I hope you can include them again in future videos. Nevertheless, keep up the good work.

Me and my friend used to hit the buffet before the remodeling. Food and service was very good, but since the re-opening. To us the food quality has dropped, unlike the prices. Service was questionable at best. Oh well, someone has to pay for that remodeling.

If you say it's spicy, I'm taking your word for it! I have a low tolerance for spicy foods. Jalapeño peppers make my nose run and I feel it overpowers as the main flavor.

I was just there a few days ago at that buffet.. Just came back from Vegas today. The buffet itself is pretty decent. For the price one cannot complain. Because your not paying alot you dont feel obligated to stuff yourself.

Another great video Derek! I’m so glad you finally reviewed the Orlean’s buffet. Every Sunday I crossed my fingers for this one and lo and behold it appeared on a Friday! I have to say that the food looked kind of boring. On a high note, Spumoni is my favorite ice cream so I will have to have a bowl when I visit there in a few weeks. Did you happen to check out the soup? I love to have soup at a buffet even in the broiling summer months. Aloha!

Do you think that you can be too nice when it comes to your reviews of these restaurants? I was watching a different review recently about the New, Orleans as you just did and her review was extremely negative. Saying they used canned good everywhere. Does using canned goods for food served a negative thing to you? Anyone can get a nice meal for 15 bucks these days and most buffets are 20 plus dollars, sure it's ayce, but is the quality there to justify it?
