@theunderdog93538 ай бұрын
Nooo don't bring her back, her story was perfect! Never expected I would cry for a character in this show, let alone a lesbian girl but they actually did it right! She wasn't defined by her sexual orientation or gender. She was just a good character and that's rare these days. I started out disliking her for the way she treat Isaac but in my core, I understood why after that story about Amanda and her ship. Makes sense for her to hate the Kaylon, but over time, she learned that they're not all bad because Isaac proved that to her. They actually bonded and in the end, she sacrificed herself for the Kaylon; the race she hated for killing the woman she loved. That's some serious character progression right there. It felt complete bringing her back would just take away from her story

I am shocked at how much I like Charlie. I'm a dude so naturally, I identify more with male characters but man, she really made me care about her and especially considering that her character was bi/lesbian, that's impressive. These days when a character is gay, their ebtire personality revolves around that one aspect of them. Not here, no. If she was straight, nothing about her story would be different. She wasn't constantly moaning about the hardships of being a lesbian and she didn't let it define her. THAT'S how you make a GOOD LGBTQ+ character! My best friend is gay and 2 people at my work are bisexual but none of them let that define them. Hell you wouldn't even know if they didn't tell you but they're also not hiding it either. Ny best friend, who like I mentioned is gay, says he too is tired of how gay people are presented in entertainment; like their whole identity is their sexuality. It's just not true so when a show actually gets it right, it deserves praise. I want more LGBTQ+ characters like Charlie! None of that woke crap that severely misrepresents the gay community! They're just regular people like you and me and that's how Charlie was, and how LGBTQ+ characters should always be
