In February of 2022, the best rain in a decade turned Australia's largest salt lake into a sea of colour. This video captures the incredible transformation of this outback ecosystem from a rich red to a vibrant palette of blue and green.

A fascinating part of the world. I read that much of the Lake (when in flood) is very shallow, and theoretically one could walk across it until the water is waist height and one sees no land. Also the water is so smooth, that it becomes a mirror and one cannot distinguish the horizon between water and blue sky. Must be really weird, a lifetime experience.

Ive traveled through there few times only seen it empty. when its all white/ salt so big love it there always wanted to see it with water in it see it in person
