I like all second-generation Tundras and currently own a 2021 CrewMax Limited. The only modifications I've made to the truck are adding a tailgate actuator, ceramic tint, and a spray-in bedliner. I've also purchased 2.5" King shocks with adjusters and a transmission cooler, which I plan to install when the truck reaches 60,000 miles. I removed all the badges and intend to keep the factory height, as lifting the truck would make it difficult to park in the garage. Additionally, my wife, who is 5'2", can barely climb in as it is.

My dad just bought one of these about 8 months ago. He got a 2021, because he wanted the V8. He loves how the technology is minimal but also just enough at the same time. His has push to start and the 38 gallon gas tank and is an army green TRD offload. His buddy got a 3rd gen and already Toyota has recalled that stupid 3.5L TTV6. Luckily his truck isn't effected because his is a hybrid but the point is, those smaller displacement motors that are boosted to shit don't belong in trucks! Keep them in the fancy sports cars and mom SUVs! The 2nd gen tundra is the last of its kind, and they will have a very large demand for years to come. To anyone who buys one of these bears, keep and drive it until the wheels come off cause no car company is gonna make anything close to it probably ever again!

Dude Magnuson makes a supercharger for the 5.7l tundra and maybe the v8 4runner. If u want best performance shock for ur 4runner and u like going extremely hard and Fast, I highly recommend billsteen 8112s dsa+ and 8100 bypass! Look 5-8k in to suspension is a lot of money. Trust me it's worth it! Check out Shock Surplus for all your shock needs! Not sponsored, just a great experience. Oh, and I seriously recommend just watching vids on KZbin of what the Billsteen 8112s can do! It's very impressive. The only way to describe them is, that these shocks are faster than the engine, the chassis; faster than the whole truck itself. So fast u begin to run out of throttle. And the sheer rebound of these shocks makes the ground quake. Dude they f*king badass!

I have all models of Tundra and my new 3rd Gen Pro is the best. Sorry to all 2 gen 5.7 owners but that 3.5 eng, 3rd gen is faster, tows way bater, better gas with more power. No recallas on the TRD PRO hybrids like the Sequoia NO recalls the Box frame , 3 link suspension rides way better. Plus the new tech features is just much nicer. You can talk to your car & have it do anything. Play a specific song and or navigate anywhere without touching a button & you can do that with leaving your phone at home.
@KDPMike10 күн бұрын
My evo is faster, gets better gas mileage, shoots flames, but that not really the point of a truck. A reliable piece of transportation that I can throw into 4x4 and get to any job site is what I’m looking for. When the new 3.5s stop blowing up I might look at one but 102,000 engine failures in two years isn’t a good track record
@pistql10 күн бұрын
@KDPMike woah, it's 102K on the recall notice, and all toyotas are always covered for 3 years on Engine and Drive trains. So no one at this point has out of pocket expense. but NOT all 102K engines, have failed only 800 and again that recall does not effect the Hybrid engines My TRD PRO 2023 is not on the recall list, just like all the Sequoias that are also all hybrids NO Recalls
