I always kill Eva. I like becoming the Sublight VP and getting the unique Sublight armor. In the Gorgon DLC some people will even take notice and comment about you being Sublight VP. I also always kill Clive so you can get the Sublight helmet that gives you +25 damage vs creatures that helmet is OP is the best looking helmet in the game.

I think the point is that some people just can't be helped, no matter how good your persuade skill is. The writing of Lilya's character is too inconsistent for me tbh. Like, here's this hard edged, no nonsense bad b*tch prioritizing profits and running a criminal-adjacent business, but then she takes a hard left into Alex Jones territory? I mean, in a world with acid spitting dinosaurs and giant firebreathing bugs, an alien conspiracy isn't totally out of the question. But you'd think someone as pragmatic and streetwise as her would be able to recognize when she may have initially overlooked someone's motivations. You can't even fully explain your actions in sparing Chartrand, she just calls you a sellout and tells you to f*** off. Okay, what am I even supposed to do with that? If that's how it is, I say f*** Sublight. She can go back to running her little smuggling operation and believing the xenomorphs are coming to get us for all I care. I'll side with the researcher doing real work to save the colony forced into an impossible situation by her corporate overlords rather than a sleep deprived drug empress any day. Maybe her character was written with the assumption that only neutral aligned mercenary PCs would take quests from her, idk

My ending was better for me personally. Saved Wells. Killed Reed and gave power to the botanical lab. Iconoclasts and MSI allied. Didn't kill Eva for Lilya Hagan. My character let Wells and the Hope scientists take leadership in the rebuilding efforts and lived life as a free Spacer. All of the Boards agents and leadership were wiped out. There was (in my character's opinion) no negotiating with them in any meaningful way that would help the Colony thrive.

Disagree about edge water. If you bring the workers back but keep Reed production goes through the roof , people can choose some jobs. The colony prospers and they even get a day off a “weekend”. But if you kick out spacers choice the town throws most out that disagree with the way things are now run

Almost perfect. Don't take 100% of the chemicals, saves the lives being tested on and eventually still revives "nearly all" (even with 100% it still says "nearly all") of the hopes colonists. Other wise, I think of this ending as Cannon. Running it from the shadows with Rockwells face is how I did it in my play through, but I think getting both faces out there as leader would have ppl who liked the board and ppl who didn't willing to work together. I also saved just before the skip jump. I did the dumb ending then reloaded my save lol

I got basically the same ending, but I mandibularly rearranged Rockwells head, and ended Sophia as soon as she mentioned genociding Edgewater. Some mistakes are not to be forgiven. Did not indulge Evas craziness and spared the researchers + test subject's. Hope colonists were still revived but it took a bit longer. It's up for debate, but my I believe my ending to be better :D

Generally agree. But I don't think either controlling from the shadows or being a beacon of hope is the best option. It's very nuanced but I believe the game makes it clear the colony is better off not being reliant upon the services of the captain of the Unreliable. If you're a grey cardinal or a leader, the colony faces turbulent years. If you help Phineas, the colony faces hard years. Only by letting the colony learn to fend for itself, do we avoid these negative results. You must choose, "I'm going to do what I've always done, whatever I want , all the time." This results in a self sufficient colony. Note that this option is not as cavalier as it sounds, In the ending notes, you continue to do great work and "earn a reputation as the greatest spacer Halycon ever had." I am in agreement over how you resolved the Sublight issue and your other decisions.

Got nearly 100 % the same ending with addition of the two DLCs, where I got the (imo) best endings too. Only thing that changed was that I choose to continnue to help Phineas and the colony instead of doing politics.

I basically got the same ending, only I spared Eva and sent the power to the Deserters. I always thought that helping the deserters was the right choice, I mean, for God’s sake, they made people pay for their own graves! I was heartbroken to see that Ms McDevvit turns away the majority of Egdewater’s residents and leaves them to starve. Can’t believe I thought I was doing the right thing helping her!

More than half of the Hope's people are revived. That's the problem if you don't let the test subjects in Byzantium die and you don't take 100% dose. All of hope's colonists survive being resuscitated out of cryostaisis if you have 100% dose

You know, it's striking how similar our endings were. I just finished the game for the first time, and got almost exactly this result, except I did not in fact feed the delusions of the prospective "savior of humanity" and therefore didn't have a blurring of lawful and criminal behavior in the colony's future. The one other exception is that I did not have Tobson banished, and thus he did not die two days later to raiders. Instead, he and a group of loyalists walked out together, and their fate is left ambiguous. I think that's probably a little bit more wholesome, though it might have weakened Edgewater a bit. That is probably fine.

The only one I disagree with is Edgewater, unfortunately becomes to authoritarian. I agree with growing is probably better. I think Reeve compromises and even ends up with a weekend for the employees will probably last longer overall.
