I have to admit, as a drummer, it's really hard to listen what Simon does. Wasn't a fan of his drumming. Alan, however....all day! Alan is a really underrated drummer.

Unfortunately true re Simon. To my ears he just seems to club the snare. Alan had finesse and smart patterns that made their songs distinct.
