Born & raised Tulsa native here, incredible job. Most detailed tour I’ve watched. Hope you got to meet DannyBoy.

I've been here since June '74. I recognized all those places in the film and have driven by or near most. I am impressed by how much those museum folks have amassed and saved. Fun video!

I have been following your channel for many years, since I discovered your Thrashin' location video. This video was just amazing. The Outsiders is one of my favorite movies and visiting Tulsa and the area where the movie was filmed has been on my bucket list for years. The Outsiders house preserved by Danny Boy O’Connor is sacred ground for us fans. Thanks Danny! Kurt: Amazing work from you and your family crew. Keep it going, you are the best, love from Norway.

Thanks for all the work on this video. I had no idea Tulsa put any effort into highlighting the movie's history.

This is very common. Modesto,CA has an American Graffiti museum. Astoria,OR turned the jail seen in the beginning of Goonies into a museum dedicated to the film. The movie theater where they filmed the original Blob with Steve McQueen shows the film every year and at the end everyone runs out of the theater to recreate the scene from the film. I took a tour of the gym from Hoosiers in a little town east of Indianapolis. Savannah, GA has a walking tour where you can see all the locations used in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. The list goes on and on. If a city can use its notoriety as a filming location to drum up tourism and make a buck, you better believe they will.

You've touched a tender spot with me on this one Kurt! I absolutely LOVE The Outsiders and have been a fan ever since the movie came out in 1983! Some fun facts: the book was published in April 1967, the same year I was born, C Thomas Howell and I are only 10 months apart in age and Ponyboy's middle name is "Michael", same as my first name!
