When you're a musician, that scene with Raine playing violin accurately is just so satisfying. I don't play violin, or the instrument Eda plays (a lute?) but the hand positions and bowing look very realistic and carefully animated. And really, when do cartoons ever do that right? 😅

Yes! I play viola and loved Raine's playing. Also - my earrings always get in the way when I'm playing, so I really liked that they don't wear an earring on the ear next to their violin - it'd be really uncomfortable since they play all the time! That might not actually be why (it also just looks cool to have just the one) but I can believe what I want. I think Eda's instrument is a bell cittern (also called a cithrinchen), a renaissance/baroque instrument similar to a lute or mandolin.
