Oh, hey, an Owl House video to distract me from The Owl House. Cool! The most important thing: Gus and King are friends now after Really Small Problems. Okay, it's not actually a huge thing, but Gus and King being friends is here to stay and I quite like it. The two have a surprising amount in common, when you get down to it. Another episode to look forward to is Episode 18. Also, Season 2 Episode 3. And 5. And 6. And 7. And 8, that's a real good one. And 9. And 10. And 11. And 12. And 14. And ESPECIALLY 16 and 17, wow. And 18. And 19, my personal favorite. And 20. And 21. Also, all of the other episodes in Season 2 are good too, those are just the highlights.

So, Owl House has some incredible fan-made videos and animatics, but without extreme caution, it's easy for those videos to accidentally spoil major story events for someone watching for the first time. It's a shame that new fans have to carefully avoid all these amazing creations until they've seen the whole series, and I've decided to try doing something about it. I've been putting together a list of prominent Owl House fan animatics, with each one accompanied by an episode number corresponding to when the video was uploaded (so that anyone who has seen up to that episode can't possibly be spoiled by anything in the associated video) and a short paragraph containing fandom context, fun facts, background on the video's creation, or whatever else feels appropriate to know before watching the video. To be clear, I am NOT asking for Headband Guy to record reactions to any of the videos in the list. Most of those videos have been reacted to by other fans in the past, and I wouldn't have any problems with him or anyone else using the list as a guide for fan creations to react to, but my goal is to make something that any new fan could use, whether or not they're recording themselves watching the episodes. All I am asking is for him to consider watching the videos on the list at the appropriate times so he can experience some great fandom creations at around the same point in the show that other fans did, and give his thoughts (privately or publicly) on how his experience with the show was affected by doing so. Although I've taken great pains to make the list itself as spoiler-free as possible, it's been surprisingly hard to find people to confirm that my efforts were successful, which is why I wanted someone to act as an intermediary instead of sending the list directly to Headband Guy. Rather than taking my word for it that the list is spoiler-free, I'm hoping you or another moderator could personally review and approve it before my request is brought to Headband Guy (I can follow up with him myself once the list is approved if you don't want to be a go-between), at which point it would be up to him to decide if this seems like something he would be interested in helping me refine and improve.

At least Lumity is a real ship and Amity is a great character; so I get the appeal. I'm not trying to sound homophobic, but it gets annoying when an episode is really good and all anyone wants to talk about is when somebody blushes or there's a "gay panic" moment. I know that there hasn't been much LGBT representation in kid's shows before, but actively searching for any gay moment you can feels kind of desperate.

@@klimmr I agree, I feel like romance in general is way too hyped up. I don’t think you’re homophobic, since your qualms aren’t that 2 girls are together, but that that ppl r hanging onto every little gay thing that happens. What makes this show so magical and amazing is that the gay is just one aspect of it. It’s a story with casual homosexuality, which a lot of ppl love. But some ppl take it too far, and those are a vocal minority. That said, it’s also like you said that there’s very little representation. The desperation isn’t coming from a lack of rep, it’s coming from ppl who r overly obsessed with shipping. The desperation that you feel is coming from the audience who are finally finding a good story with gay characters where it’s not the whole thing. It’s rare to find a good story + gay romance. Even the ones I know of that have both are classified as romance stories. A gay romance treated as one would if it was straight is amazing. I try to avoid ship culture myself. I stopped watching a specific reactor cuz she would scream for even the slightest blush. At the same time tho, shes lesbian and is way too hyped to see herself on screen as well. It’s a bit complicated.
