The Owner ASKED me DO YOU WANT to do this job ALONE? This FRONT YARD is very OVERGROWN

The Owner of this house was at a loss that I came alone to trim the Overgrown Front Yard, as he thought Two workers were needed for such a job. The first day it took me 2 hours to cut the Beech Hedge and load everything into one trailer, and the second day another 5 hours to cut the Overgrown Bushes and load everything into another trailer. Since the trailer was filling up fast, I had to use a Chainsaw to tamp everything down!

Most people would have taken one look at that massive job and said, "Can't be done without my assistant", but not you! You just dive right in and get to work! I love to watch you cut hedges. You always get them perfectly straight and even - both vertically and horizontally across the top. And without stopping to see if you're staying straight! I actually think that's the key, though. I always used to do a better job on the hedges in my yard if I just kept going. But YOU are the master!!! I always think you look like an acrobat when you climb the ladder or into the trailer on the truck. It's all in the way you move so lightly. Looking forward to the next one. 🌿

Not really. Most gardeners can do a lot of work on their own, because they know how and are experienced and have all the tools they invested in. But that’s ok that there’s an assistant for a gardener. It’s a lot if work, tedious and hard if it’s a lot of work and having extra help can make the work go by faster and easier and sometimes it can be dangerous. My gardener works on his own since we hired him fifteen years ago and we have a big front and backyard and a nice front yard landscape. He works around my neighborhood, starting early in the morning. Most people wouldn’t give up. And if they did have help, that’s great! 😁

Look into silky hand saws. I carry one around to grab any out of place branches when I don't want to go grab a chainsaw or when the job is small enough.

Most of everything you cut was foreign to me, but it looks like a very high maintenance yard and I really thought that’s too much for one person,BUT you are so organized in your process that you almost made it look easy.....almost. Great job! I was just watching another yard cleanup where the guy used a Henchman brand ladder and was sitting there thinking "why in the world have I never heard of these beauties before!?!" They are so perfect for what you do, and would certainly be great for old homes with uneven floors like I deal with, but they are almost unheard of around these parts. I thought they were something new, but turns out they're also called "orchard ladders" and are quite common on the West Coast. Throws me for a loop that I've lived all these years without ever seeing one. Seeing you straddle that short ladder to get to the top of the hedge reminded me of this other gent's video where he talked about it, so I thought I'd mention it here. For the money, I think a Henchman ladder is a good investment and there might be one in my near future!

I enjoy watching your videos. You don't need to narrate the work; the work says it all. I like that you clean up all of the cuttings; most other lawn guys blow the cuttings into the street, on the lawn or under the bushes. When the blue saw died, why didn't you used the Stihl saw to cut the thick branches? Is that a hammock frame or a work of art?

Thank you very much for watching the video and comments, in Germany it is customary to clean up everything and take it to a landfill for recycling. The saw Stihl was not very handy for this job, so I always used a small saw for the branches. This is really a Hammock, just the fabric is removed for the winter, because due to constant dampness it will be covered with moss!

Lovely videos - i love them. i used to have a company just like yours i Sweden. But i cut myself very bad in the hand with a "one hand chainsaw" a couple of years ago. I was in a hurry to clean up a a garden so i was not paying attention. So i cant do gardening anymore, the pain in the hand is terrible! I have to give up my company! Now friends and relativs call me lazy because i do not work. So be carefull and do not cut corners when it comes to saftey! And have good enaurance - i just got 700 euro for my hand in compensation from the insurancecompany Best regards Niklas
