Weird to hear Bear's cyclonic storm theory geting conflated with global warming, his theory was much more cataclysmic than gradual global temperature increase. I often wonder if Bear's theory is correct, and if so, are we in for another looming ice age? Seems to explain how earth experienced ice ages every 12,000 years or so. Pretty interesting guy, I wish he were still with us.

It’s march 12/23, I met bear at a restaurant in SF broadway joes it think it was. It was after a JGB show, bear sprung some belt buckles on me in a lovely case. I’m glad I bought one, I wear it daily to this day. I had 200 bucks to my name after the purchase and had to get back to NY to continue high school….on a side note, KZbins algorithm sent me Bobby from the Ryman last night, I didn’t hear anything worth archiving. It was very sad. I don’t get it to be honest. Not trying to be mean here, expensive tickets, marginal quality music, it confusing. My dad gave me his McIntosh 125 / 225 when I was 12. Thanks for the video fellas.

Also, the question of 'is there anymore of Owsley's work around' and the answer is yes, and it's almost gone if not gone by now, but it was being tightly protected by a few for many many years. Hhmmm guest who..? Dr. David E. Nichols stated that he knew that LSD-25 properly protected at room temperature could last for 30 years. Albert Hofmann at the 50th Anniversary of discovering LSD-25, broke open a vile of original Sandoz that had been stored in a fridge for just under 50 years, and when they opened it, it was black. So, they weren't sure what would happen. Everyone got off just as if it were freshly made. There was no change. Also, a chemist posted on erowid that he made his first batch of acid and it took nearly 3 days and he got out of bed the last day and all the fresh made material was all black. So, he did take it and he said he got off and had a great trip.

one particular batch of lsd sheets in Adelaide back in about 1997 called Hearts had what appeared to be a fine blackish mould on the normally white paper rear of the trips. Another print of Jesus Christs I saw seemed to have a reddish solution soaked in but may have been the picture print inked soaked through.

Well, in my personal experience, I've never noticed any discernable diminishment in strength over several years time. Admittedly I can't think of a specific example exceeding 10 years, but can point to numerous specific examples in the 3-5 year time frame. Just saying.

A really informative journey into the life of a true iconic SF being. Note emphasis on being. Knocks the shit out of the nonsensical attitude of many of Owsley just being a dope chemist. I saw the wall of sound at the Cow Palace and though my memory of the venue is limited by the amount of water under the bridge, I do recall the immense physical presence of the WOS. Thanks for this movie into one of my favorite characters in that extraordinaryt scene.

My question is to Starfinder, about the car accident, was there any foul play at the accident scene, are there photos, I would like to see them, I would like to see the road he was traveling, the police investigation material, and it seems impossible that he missed the road driving. This seems suspicious to me. Nothing about this accident seems right at all, and I am not convinced - not having seen any real evidence - and just like Bear "I am not wrong....possibly...." that's how I feel, and I am a very perceptive person also, and a sound engineer, drummer since I was 2, born the day Jimi Hendrix died, (was murdered,) so, I have had a lot of acid myself, could you shed some light here for me, is it suspicious? And, how is Melissa doing. A small slightly negative comment is Bobby has $60million dollars, Billy has like $40million, Phil has the same amounts, are they not helping with this, and don't those guys have enough to fund this directly right out of their pockets?????, and are those guys really in the greatful dead b/c they all got enough money to afford to bury themselves, they don't have to have a rich man pay for their burials, isn't the band name kinda of a lie by now since they are SO RICH NOW??????, and can pay to bury themselves? I still love the band, just had to state/show the irony, is why aren't they paying for this work you all are doing to get done??? Don't they LOVE BEAR??? Sounds kinda shitty to me that not one of them is paying for this. I have comments: Starfinder, you have your dads nose. Also, you are the great-grandson of Senator, a Rep, a Governor, and this is why Owsley was way ahead of everyone is because he already knew so much b/c of who his grandfather was. Also, notice the size of Owsley's ears and this will tell you partly why he is a sound nut. His ears and head and mind were made for sound. I love you so much Owsley, LOVE YOU SO MUCH BROTHER LIVE LONG WITH GOD. And Starfinder, I did not take into account because of so many issues in my life, that he had children. I LOVE YOU, I LOVE EVERYONE HERE. THANK YOU! And I suggest you get the guys to spend some of that money they can not take with them on getting your project done sooner with more funding is always better, and that would also possibly allow for everyone to "smell the roses" while you did this with more money form the guys who have money, the band. Just my take on it. And I will be donating in the future. I am homeless in LA and I drum for money and I will fund raise for this and make a contribution, just give me like through Christmas, money is good then, and I will donate. GODBLESS Johnathan Foster

met someone recently who had lived in the same small town as Bear. Watsonville near Cairns. He had heard a couple of LSD things but was unaware of the Steely Dan song Kid Charlemagne. I get the impression Bear lived a fairly quiet life after coming to Australia but who knows. Watsonville would not have too much going on id imagine

@jdf237 Hey mate Im not sure its right to ask the family details of the accident. I know the area and it is a long straight stretch of pretty safe road. As I understand it was dark and there was lots of rain. According to his wife he was briefly distracted by trying to locate some music. There may have been water on the road. The road is edged with some pretty big gum trees
