I’m in the tulane marching band, so I’ve had a couple run-ins with Pratt. Every single time I’ve met him he was always kind and respectful. He would make sure to shout out the band at pep rallies and other events for the football team. He even shows up to our concert band performances at the end of the school year. So, along with getting a good quarterback to develop, you’re also getting a fantastic human being. As a Vikings fan, it will pain me to see him in a packers uniform, but I will always cheer him on and wish him success.

Gute talked about getting back to that and I'm sure the injuries around the league last year may have contributed to him thinking about getting back to the Ron Wolf philosophy of drafting QBs.

I think there's been a pendulum swing in front offices where they highly value quality backup QBs due to the record number of QBs that played last season. Some of it is due to the new concussion protocol and some of it is probably an injury randomness factor, but a good backup is worth investment in teams' eyes. Just look at Atlanta!

Anybody wondering if this kid is any good or not , go watch the highlights of Tulane Vs #2 in the country Oklahoma from 2021. Pratt had 300 passing yards, 3tds and no ints. Also having a rushing td that game. I’m no Tulane or Oklahoma fan, and the only reason I remember this random game from 3 years ago is because of how impressed I was with Pratt. Congrats to Pratt he got drafted a bit later than expected. This guy is tough. As a lifelong tulane fan being born in new Orleans. He has the skills to develop into a great starter... Not backup starter. He is a natural leader, has great pocket presence, and can escape the pocket if necessary. He can work on accuracy in the NFL, but the packers got a steal in the 7th round no question. Roll green wave!

It seems to me, in the middle of last season Mr Grossi created a tearful video. The Packers were losing and Mr Grossi was verbalizing his distrust in Jordan Love. Pratt could be a success as a backup. I do think them getting back to drafting quarterbacks either every draft or every other draft is wise so that they can continue to have competent backup quarterbacks and/or trade bait (like how Mark Brunell, Kurt Warner, and Matt Hasselbeck were). Kitan Oladipo could be a steal as either a box safety in nickel or dime situations and even as a situational linebacker.

Pratt's passes are a thing of beauty. He loves to throw long (he seems to thrive on it), and he's accurate. He appears to be more mobile than Love, also.
