A couple good NBA players are not longer in the league despite making several attempts at a comeback. Part of the reason why they haven't been signed aren't due to their skill-sets but due to their bad reputation. This video takes a look into all these recent former players who were still producing at a respectable level a few years back!

Carmelo Anthony was thought to be blacklisted by fans who still held on to any hope of him getting signed by another team. But he wasn’t blacklisted at all. He just was a shell of himself, so NBA teams had no incentive to sign him. Only when he confirmed that he retired that the blacklisted claim was laid to rest.

Yeah, Melo just didn’t want to come to terms with not being a first option volume shot kind of player now. He was always lazy on defense and you need a vet 6th man kind of guy to take good, high % shots and be effective defensively. It’s his fault. Prime Melo was still the absolute man tho.

same with Jamal Crawford. Both could still score 15-18 if given the chance to shoot a lot but that 15-18 will be in inefficient % while both giving up too many easy points.

The only player truly black listed is Enes Kanter. He speaks against the injustices and atrocities China is committing and spineless Adam Silver will not allow that to happen, explaining why Kanter is out of the league. What Kanter is fighting for is much bigger than basketball and I hope he continues to speak out against these atrocities.

Enes talked about and still is talking about right wing authoritarian issues, so that’s that with what he’s talking about actually now. He also wasn’t getting along with many of his teammates he played for during his NBA Career as well.

Breaking: two bums tried to poke the bear and proved they’re genuinely worse people. Seriously though, Enes is just attention seeking and doing the hollowest of virtue signals. The proof: he supports arguably a nuttier candidate to be in charge of Turkey than Erdogan which, is impressive, & for a guy who cares about humanitarian issues, he’s been really quite on that whole genocide in Palestine thing going on lately, but tbf, back in November, used the crisis to act like the Uhgyer situation is worse, which, both are equally terrible. Tbf to Enes, he’s not the first former NBA player to do this. Royce White is another great example of failed NBA career turned right wing grift for money and attention. It’s an internal thing with them 🤷‍♀️ Edit: upon further review, it seems genuinely dumb to compare Kanter to Hodges because Hodges actually has genuine arguments where as Kanter, is a blow hard. That said, it’s fair to criticize Jordan being sometimes separate from black America during the 90s, even though he is that community and would have gone a long way in making an effort with the Rodney King protests, where as LeBron is comfortable being outspoken even if it distracts him from the game. Jordan is the GOAT as a player, but LeBron is the better human being end of the day even though both definitely can do more. Also to add, both James and Jordan did do the right thing and give vocal support to protests over the murder of George Floyd, which can be seen as growth in Jordan and maybe his acceptance he messed up in the past by not using his platform to lift up those around him in the same way he did his teammates.

I think Andrew Bynum is one of the players I was REALLY looking to see back in the league. He was looking for a comeback in 2017-2018 ish. Would have liked to have him back. Looked like his attitude had changed for the better

I wouldn't say Dwight was ever blacklisted, as he has just recently got out of the league, and he wasn't that good.

This guy is telling half the story on these players. Majority of them is players who need the ball in their hands to be effective. These type of players have to be your franchise players. And since their play styles lacked major impacts on winning as a franchise players. No team wanted them as franchise guys. Which left them with only one position on a team because of their play styles as the 6 man.
