Right from the horse's mouth... you can't do any better than that! Thanks for this. I second the comments on Ralphie Glick. The first time he comes to Danny, it's with a facade of friendliness; the second time, though, he's all business. The actor's expressions are chilling. In fact, I remember reading something a few years back where someone involved with production (I can't remember who now) was quoted as saying that Ralphie made a certain expression in that scene that chilled everybody who was there. That's quite a compliment coming from somebody who does this sort of thing for a living.

Hi guys. Great video. Looks like you may have cracked it. Also, your image on screen (bottom left) shows that they are wearing the same make of pyjamas. In other scenes where Ralphie is wearing them he has the same thicker triangle of material below the back of his neck. I'm gonna ask Richard (Kobritz) for his take on it just to confirm...

Well what about the scene were Mike Ryerson (Geoffrey Lewis) appears to Jason Burke (Lew Ayres?) In his house, after hearing the creaking floorboards? Jason's vest underneath his shirt dissapears and reappears in quite a few scenes. Even whilst in the bedroom, Jason's vest dissapears and reappears and even his shirt seems to have buttoned itself up more in one closeup. So was this also '' intentional " ? I don't believe for one sweet moment the Ralphie Glick/ pyjamas thing was done " intentionally " . There are so many " goofs " in Tobe Hooper's Salem's Lot. Another one is when Danny Glick comes to Mark Petrie's bedroom window. When Mark tells Danny to '" Go Away! " At the bottom of the frame if you look closely you can make out what appears to be a man in a black ski mask looking up toward the camera at Mark and then, slowly, backing away, out of shot. Obviously a technician who was working on the boom crane, moving Danny Glick forward and backward. So was this also " intentional ? " . I don't seriously believe any of these so-called " goofs " are actually " intentional " as such . " Cock-ups " more like!! 😅 Still the greatest vampire movie/mini-series ever made though!!! 🙂👌👌👌👌🙏🙏🙏🙏

There are definitely goofs, even in the wardrobe area, and I would say the vest and buttons were mistakes. But the pajamas were intentional. This is right from the wardrober himself.

I’ve seen the boom crane moving Brad Savage into view, and then there was the long, long, long trip to Bangor for Ben, and Susan’s date. All things considered, the flubs were few. I liked this mini series better than King’s book.

I do not believe for one second or for one moment Ralphie Glick coming to Danny's window in his pyjamas was " intentional ". Why would they do that " intentionally ? " . Personally, I think it's more likely to be an " continuity error ". It does not state in kings source material Ralphie comes to Danny in his pyjamas. Not does it state in kings source material that Ralphie comes to Danny's window in a " dream-like state ". Infact in kings source material little Ralphie is abducted, presumably by Straker, and his body is never found and it's mentioned he's sacrificed to allow evil to live and flourish in Salem's Lot. And as far as I know it's not mentioned in Paul Monash's screenplay that little Ralphie Glick comes to Danny's window, wearing pyjamas. I can't understand why that would be done intentionally. I've always looked upon it as a simple " continuity error " . And people's Memoires are bound to be abit " hazy " after 45 years so I very much doupt weather there is ever gonna me a 1OO percent accurate, definitive answer. Ralphie dissapears in his cloths, comes to Danny as a vampire in his pyjamas, then floats away to wherever, then reappears in the root cellar near the end in his cloths again. Very strange!! 😅

The matter of the pajamas on Ralphie Glick doeesn't bug me too much; it's trivial to the overall mini-series... and the mini-series is first -rate classic horror! If the P.J.s were a continuity error or a 'dream vision' is minor to the other production values of this iconic masterpiece!

If the horse's mouth said that the outfit change was because he was 'in a dream like state' then why did Susan have a different outfit on at the end and her skin didn't even appear like a vampire all while Ben was not in a dream like state?

Thank u all for your effort. I think that is plausible and I also think there is a reason for that. As we all know Ralphie never reappears in the book - since Straker apparently cut him into pieces on the graveyard as part of some occult ritual to pave the way for Barlow to come into town. So by changing that, the movie-makers had a lot of creative options and freedom to imagine the scene where Raphie as a vampire visits his brother. Nevertheless, when Danny visits Mark, it is pinned out in the book. The book literally describes Danny wearing the suit he was buried in. So I think they also wanted to stick to the source material in that scene.

in my opinion the white pajamas is just symbology from the hammer vamps,..valerie gaunt, carol marsh, barbara shelley...etc,...theres another mistery in salems lot to try to solve, when susan norton goes to marsten and is kidnaped by straker and given to barlow and then shes turned into vamp, ¿how can it be if still daytime and barlow is inside the coffin pit?
