The year is 1926 and newly arrived immigrants from Parma, Italy, John Ganzi and Pio Bozzi wanted to name their restaurant after their hometown. When they went to register their business, however, a New York City clerk misunderstood their Italian accents and issued a license for “The Palm.”
90 years later the brand has grown to include "Palms" across the US. And it is still owned and operated by the Ganzi and Bozzi families.
It' a great NY story!
