I have a G85 ita still cheap and you can use a HDMI filed monitor unlike the G7

I've had the G7 for about maybe 7 yrs. The lack of HDMI was always a bummer, but it was a Christmas gift so I can't complain much. Yeah, you can use the Panasonic app but unless you're using a tablet it's useless. It's been a cool little B-roll. Now, as I type this, I don't know why I did not do this sooner, but I grabbed the Viltrox EF-M2 ii adapter to use with my canon, tamron and sigma glass about 2 months ago and BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY OH BOY.... It is ridiculous. I had been using my Canon 5d2 and 5D3 for videoing weddings, events and games. But man, it has taken my sports videos to a new level. I still may grab a G95 or Gh5, I REALLY want the S52. But I've had other creatives in my IG inbox asking "Bro what the hell are you shooting on? The vid was amazing!" If you've got glass with stabilization, you can still get buttery smooth shots handheld and with a gimbal or 3 point method.

You talked me into a g7 and it has been a great second camera to my gh6. It is so lightweight. I used to own a gx8 and I like this camera more than the gx8 even though yes the gx8 was a great camera, but the weight, size and shape of the g7 is too good. I don’t need weather sealing so that makes its weight and size fantastic. Very good pictures out of the g7. Video is also very good if you are fairly stable with a lens that has its own stabilization, or on a tripod. Run and gun video with the g7 camera is a bad idea though. Gh6 handles that job very well.

It is a great camera micro 4/3 camera especially if you are using it for talking heads or just for the sticks where you are not moving alot.

Same is true with the G100, except you get more resolution with the G100. Its basically a mini G9. Pair it with the Pana Leica 12-60mm, you have a compact pro cam. It seem crazy to put a $1000 lens on a $600 compact mirrorless- it's not "balanced," but it's remarkably capable and I got the lens for $150, because the seller thought it was broken. Less control, poorer handling than the G7 or G9, but the G100 is very small with a G9 sensor and is loaded with features.

I think the G7 was also the only Lumix camera to come in that Gunmetal Grey colour, which is a shame because it looks fantastic on it.

yeah, looked super rad :)

The lack of IBIS is a let down of the g7, but I find it much easier to carry and pack compared to my g80s. It is more like a gx size camera with viewfinder so that is a big plus!

I just picked up a near mint G7 for 175 euro that included the 14-42 mm kitlens and sold the lens on the same day for 75 euro...I'm happier than a pig in shit 😁

@@CharlieCastilloThank you very much sir for the suggestion, have you used this g7 camera? If you want to use it, can you use the SD card of the camera in the mobile phone or not and how can you easily transfer from the camera to the mobile phone? Because I am preparing to buy the camera tomorrow
@CharlieCastillo7 сағат бұрын
@attractedanyone i have the G7 since 5 years ago, you can use the app on your phone, but you need to storage your videos in a SD card using your camera, and then transfer the photos and videos via Bluetooth to the phone. The app helps you move some features like, iso, focus, exposure, etc... And also you can view the image that you are recording or photoshooting, it's nice, but when you wants to share a video it will take you a lot, the photos are faster, but still slow, a video of 10 seconds will take you like 8 minutes, and a picture, like a minute
