The girl at 3:54 is Lindsay's stand in body double. She looks identical from behind, matches Lindsay's body and she plays opposite Lindsay. for example when Lindsay plays hallie the body double plays Annie and then in post editing you merge each side with Lindsay as each twins and cut the body double out. All the scenes where the twins hug or interact and notice you can't see one twins face until the camera moves. That's the body double

Lindsay played both Hallie and Annie, but in scenes where there were two girl they needed to have a body and back of the head for the other girl and thats where the double came in. The double's face was never on screen nor did she have any speaking lines. She was just there in scenes when both of their bodies needed to be shown touching (like hugs) and that's why you only see one girl's face in those.
