To those who run this course----how would you feel if your teens rejected the faith you raised them with? Would you accept and support them if they proclaimed themselves as atheist? Could you be content with their diametric opposition to your faith? Or would you feel the need to bring them in alignment with what you want them to believe?

Faith is vastly overrated as a virtue. Reason and critical thing are far more reliable as a path to knowledge. Youth must be free to explore religious belief for themselves. They are not obligated to be religious clones of their parents or to be told what to think. Maybe they’ll find truth and solace in Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism. Or maybe instead they’ll find truth by means of science and reason, and abandon religious belief along the way. These decisions are theirs to make, not yours.
