When you were talking about Ziya's wearing out the shoes and clothes and said "Are you going off to war?" I laughed so hard! I think it's the age. They're just really rough on clothes but since she's growing out of them so fast, it's not quite as bad. You have to replace them anyway. LOL

Definitely the part of parenthood they don’t talk about enough! I have 3 girls…and I spent 4 hours today declutterring and sorting…trying to determine what to keep to pass down and what to let go. Plus trying to identity gaps for my oldest. Then everyone is always growing so quickly! 😅 that scene with you and Ziya was so relatable 😂

I’m enjoying the vlogs. As a parent of now two adult children, I realize how important it is to give young children a sense of autonomy and not counter or undermine their decisions. It may not always come easy but we have to be intentional with using reinforcing language. I’m sharing because of the mistakes I made (and sometimes still make) but wish I would have done it differently.❤

Hey Raven. Happy Sunday. Agreed. Children once reach a certain age should have a chore/responsibility schedule and weekly rewards. Yes chile. Constantly buying for our children. My son buys timberlands and Nike, adidas etc then complain no money. I’m like why are you spending so much on your 3 boys ( 1,2 & 7) that gonna wear maybe 6-12 months 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️? Wonderful you keep her engaged with tidying her room and playroom, snacks in the pantry, making her lunch etc. The cookies came out good. Love a soft meaty 🍪. Have a great week 🤗

I worked in retail through out college. I wouldn’t wear off the rack clothes without washing them in sanitizer first after what I’ve seen. Besides, they do have chemicals on the fabric from processing. To each his own though.

We had 10 inches of snow in New Orleans, it was the first time in my life experiencing this!!! It was so exciting for the children in the city, and some of adults enjoyed it as well!!!

Awesome idea Raven for your daughter, definitely teaching her responsibility! We have 5 daughters, and I definitely remember teaching them to be responsible! Our youngest 2 (20 twins) are the only two at home now! Yesss, they grow fast, and it’s crazy and amazing! Our 33, 31, and 29 year old has moved out. Our 29 year old is getting married Godwilling in March!
