The Kenway's got such a raw deal. Edward is the embodiment of the phrase "the road to hell is paved with good intentions". He lost himself attempting to provide for his family and in the process of finding himself he loses everyone he cared about. His grandson had no way to do the one thing that made being an Assassin in the first place and was one of the few to truly recognize how futile the war between the Assassins and Templars was.

Bad parkour? Simple parkour, yes. But bad? No ;)
@batdog121003 жыл бұрын
And stealth-wise this game had the most refined mechanics compared to the older installments (Lurking arround corners, whistling and stuff) Especially with the refined ranged arms core mechanics (thrown smokebombs went where you wanted them to go and the blow darts were a nice addition). Edit: If by "bad parkour/stealth" you're refering towards the newer games (since origins) as in how they utilized stealth to their full potential, then yes. AC4's stealth mechanics don't even come close in comparison. BUT the parkour in 4 is undeniably more advanced, with it's reasons of course. The newer games simplefied parkour inorder to put more layers to the stealth - the player had a wider choice op approaches to enter a certain terrain. But the two have completely different focalpoints. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Saying an apple is bad, simply because an orange is sweeter just doesn't seem fair. An apple has it's other appeals, like it's crunchy texture. Gamers should stop with their pointless and irrational comparisons and just try to appreciate the games for their own unique features ;) (I personally love every single installment - yup, also Odyssey. Most people who complain about the game never even played it :p While at the surface the game looks different, when you dig deeper you'll find the same core philosphies the franchise is centered around. BuT HeY, a DLC leT's ThE ProtEgonIst gO tO heLl, So It BrEaKs CoNtInUitY... Even though it was clearly stated that it was nothing more than a simulation based on Greek mythology specifically disigned for the protegonist by an Isu, inorder to teach the protegonist a few lessons and enhance his wisdom. So, like the king Washington dlc which I LOVE, it didn't even happen technically speaking, yet the idiotic complain I stated a few lines up remains valid in the eyes a many...)

Replayed Black Flag recently and forgot how emotional this game was. Especially when you think how many people Kenway lost. Edward Thatch, his mentor, was killed in front of him. Charles Vane lost his mind and was found broken and forgotten in a cell. Jack Rackham, betrayed him and his crew, found lifeless in some cell. Burgess and Cockram, fellow sailors, forced to die by his hand achieve his goal. Benjamin Hornigold, his friend and fellow privateer, severed their relationship and pitted them against each other. Stede Bonnet, his most innocent of allies, lost his life on the path Kenway sent him on. James Kidd, to be revealed Mary Read and his closest friend, died in his arms unable to be saved. Anne Bonny, who would survive her wounds, but not without facing immense suffering and loss. Caroline Scott, loving wife and mother of there child, passed away before he showed her how he's changed. Adewale, quartermaster and advisor, gave up on him and left him behind to live his life his own way. Not to mention countless pirates and crewman he knew that would face the gallows from the approaching empires. The collapse of their safe haven in Nassau. And the near destruction of the Assassin's Brotherhood in the Caribbean because of his selfish deeds.

Unpopular opinion but this is my favourite version of the parting glass. Most videos I found were acapella versions and sounded a lot more cheerful while in this one the melody and the singer make it sound beautifully sad and fitting for the lyrics.

The game has a good moral to it. Also, it's interesting when Black Flag's lessons are compared with Rogue's and one begins to notice the extremes of both ideologies.

Jonny Bravo yeah I was never a fan of black flag because of the sailing. but the story....that's completely different. but the ending has to be the best part as it wraps up Edwards character perfectly. started off trying to get coin and have nothing to do with the assassin's but then slowly force himself to join their cause and save the world. not to mention how, if I remember correctly, he has to assassinate hornigold leave rackham witness blackbeard die and Mary aswell. he has the best storyline due to how sad it is.

Ryan Hart....it is sad but all these pirates were real (except kenway) and thay all died the same way....the real thatch died in combat the real Mary of a bad fever....(all the people in ac games are real people if you didnt know most of them at least... never the person you play as though and they all died the same dates)and all that...personally I think ezios is the saddest having his family killed in front of him and once he's finished it all he dies not many years later in front of his wife and child.....honestly that made me shed a tear ...and this is still really sad too I love the AC games

The song is traditionally Scottish but was popularized in the 1950s the Clancy Brothers. The last line "Good night and Joy be with you all" is actually a prayer by the Scottish poet Robert Burns.

Tomorow we have a ceremony to recieve our diplomas, and lets just say his closest friends will be standing up and saying goodbye back, I made sure to arrange as much ❤
