No Repent your sin and put your faith in the Lord Saviour Jesus Christ (alone) “Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’” Luke 17:7-10 ESV

Music such as this penetrates the soul and connects a Scot-Irishman to his past. In one instant, he is home, breathing the Highland air and filling the heart with warmth and a song of Caledonia. God bless you. This is my new favorite rendition of this beloved classic.

I only recently began to listen to Taryn, yet I can say that I am already in love with her music. It is fantastic to see a person who is as talented as Taryn in playing so many instruments and the end result is ever more satisfying. I first listened to her rendition of "Scarborough Fair" and I would wager that most of the people who had listened to the sound could agree that it was far better performance than the original piece. As an artist, she is, again, very talented in many instruments, however her most profound skill is the way in which she puts her music together, as she is able to bring this natural flow of peace and amience forth, as she plays. Wonderful talent, wonderful talent, - is all I can say.

@@johnscott3714 Maybe, but the Irish play it a hell of a lot more than the Scots ever did. It's more ingrained into Irish culture as a result.

Of all the money that e’er I had, I spent it in good company Of all the harm that e’er I done, alas it was to none but me. And all I’ve done for want of wit, to memory now I can’t recall. So fill to me the parting glass, goodnight and joy be to you all. Of all the comrades that e’er I had who’d be sorry for my goin’ away. And to my own sweetheart, who though many have loved- -would wish you evermore to stay. But since it falls unto my lot- -That we should rise- -While they should not- -Let us gently rise, and let us softly call “Goodnight and joy be to them all!” Though heroes are too seldom found, when times are dark they’ll come unbound. Say “aye!” and sing to me this sound: A farewell and a sacred vow. For all that’s good, for all that is right, though monsters come to us at night, We’ve fought and bled, we’ve wrought and we’ve wept, Yet seen each other through the end! …
