Yeah, this intro and show is an early childhood memory. I distinctly remember the serious, no-nonsense look of the big mama partridge (and her brood), and the matter-of-fact kicking of the eggshells as something not to be taken lightly. I like unsmiling intros on otherwise funny shows (the Scrubs intro used that effect as well)

Every time I hear this song, it reminds me of the video game Kirby's Epic Yarn. Not that that's a bad thing. The Kirby games have always had a happy-go-lucky feel to them, and Kirby's Epic Yarn is the one Kirby game that emphasizes that the most (IMO).

David Cassidy will live on in the music he left behind with his wonderful voice and talent and with this funny show about a family that has a band that travels and plays gigs. The show to me has held up rather well and I love the struggles between Keith, Danny and Rueben Kincaid. I always laughed at their infighting. I try to catch it on reruns whenever I can.
