Amen. David Cassidy's father had a musical background too. He did the voice and singing of Bob Crachett on Mr. MaGoo's Christmas Carol in 1962! Give a listen to the song "The Lord's Bright Blessing" from it. That will cheer you up.

It's not just a great song "for the time," it's a great song PERIOD. They had good songwriters and members of The Wrecking Crew playing those instruments. I always thought this one was under-acknowledged, and might have gotten more attention if someone like Glen Campbell had recorded it. And unlike a lot of teen idols of that time, David Cassidy could really sing.

I understand those 70s bands doing Drugs & Alcohol, doing so many concerts & traveling a lot. Then all those girls wanting to get action from those Long Hair Rock Stars. Its funny the bass guiter Danny was playing was bigger than him. Those 70s concerts were crazy because of very little Security. People so drunk even loud music didnt wake them. 1 concert they made us wait 2 hours some band wanted to play when it got dark out. Did get to see big bands Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Doobie Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Allman Brothers, Country Singer Alan Jackson.
