Reminds me sitting with my 106 year old mom...She was lying there but to her, we were passengers on a train....she was content...she asked me at what stop I was getting off...I said "Benson". The train stopped after 2 hours...She told me to drive carefully...and as I got up to leave, she said, "You know, I have two children." And my last memory of her was with a smile on her face....Perhaps she's in a better place.....now.

this is a wonderful, awesome and beautiful short film. How amazing they focus every small detail. This story might be about few last minutes before people die, their old and special memory will pass through their brain quickly. At the end, he meets his wife and son who died years ago bcuz of fire maybe.

I like the way the story was symbolized. I think the train takes him to the other side. His family already died from the fire. He was still alive. But he didn't make it either, and died, too.

Ah, magical! Last ride... to the afterlife. Very beautifully done. I felt all his emotions. Such a sweet illusion to imagine an afterlife, when in fact you are just a leaf drowning in water. The symbolism was not lost. Merci!

This is beautiful. My Mother was very ill in 2017, she was bed bound for a few weeks and when I came to look after her, she was always in a hurry, she always told me I must be quick, "they" told her that man is coming on a train to fetch her. When I watch this movie I realize only at the end what my Mother always told me that few days before she passed away.

From the flashbacks, I can get the impression that she and their son died in a fire. It's unsure whether he took his own life via drowning or he simply died of a broken heart. OR, he didn't really die at all and the whole thing was a dream to help him come to terms with his pain.

Wow, so amazing...real, yet abstract, emotionally substantial yet physically depleting. So spooky yet surprisingly surreal...and the unexplained ending was BRILLIANT! The one problem, seriously, with watching something like this is that it automatically raises your standards leaving one wondering why can't more visual art projects, i.e. full or short, be this fulfilling?

Ces courts-métrages sont des films réalisés chaque années par des étudiants dans l'école, faire un long-métrage est à mon avis trop long pour permettre à l'école de faire ça bien que j'aimerais beaucoup voir ça.

Merci beaucoup pour ce magnifique instant de poésie ! Un pur instant de bonheur ! Le train signifie le chemin de vie sur lequel on est de passage. Heureusement, on finit toujours par retrouver ceux que l'on a aimé et chéri ! Le deuxième personnage dans le train, est son guide spirituel qui l'accompagne au bout de son chemin qui s'ouvre pour l'éternel retour. He died and was on his way to heaven. He was struck by lightening from the looks of his umbrella. His son and wife had died young, they greeted him when he made it to heaven. Great clip!

Je vais donner mon point de vue sur ce court métrage, certains détails seront flous pour moi donc n'hésiter pas à me dire ce que vous en penser ^^ ! On nous montre le premier souvenir comme étant calme et doux, puis vint une secousse qui pourrait indiquer un bouleversement dans sa vie : Le jour où l'homme a perdu sa famille. Pour moi il s'agit d'un incendie et plusieurs choses semblent l'indiquer : le parapluie du début est brûlé, les cris de la femme et la fumée sortant de la porte du wagon (vers 2:30) puis la peau de la femme qui se décompose et ressemble à des braises ( avec le bruissement et le jeu de lumière semblable à un celui d'un feu ). Et enfin le train lui même à 4:07 environ. On nous fait plusieurs gros plans sur le feu : La bougie d'anniversaire que la femme et l'enfant éteigne en même temps pourrait être représentante de leur vie à tous les deux. Et enfin la lampe à pétrole ( je suppose) qui pourrait selon moi être à l'origine de l'incendie. ( On peut d'ailleurs remarquer que la flamme de celle ci vacille beaucoup puis se calme et à ce moment là la femme se décompose). Pour ce qui est de la dernière braise qu'il attrape, je pense que c'est l'espoir auquel il voulait se rattacher ( Que sa famille soit encore vivante). Mais lorsque celle-ci s'éteint son visage se décompose et la réalité le rattrape. Puis vient le deuil ( où il dépose la cendre dans l'eau ), qu'il subit jusqu'à sa propre mort. ( Jusqu'à l'arrêt du train ). L'homme présent avec lui, l'accompagne dans son trajet, et l'aide à se souvenir, à faire face à la réalité ( le retour en arrière impossible, il bloque la porte lorsque celle en face est enfumée (2:30 environ) ). Je n'ai pas trouvé la signification de celui-ci, peut être est-il la mort, l'accompagnant dans son parcours ? Cette idée peut être renforcée grâce au train (symbolisant la vie, selon moi). Au début il fait beau, l'homme est tranquille puis le train rentre dans un tunnel. Il fait sombre et l'autre homme rentre avec le parapluie brûlé et le lui donne. Voilà voilà, c'était mon point de vue dessus. J'ai essayé d'être le plus clair possible. Après je ne vois pas grand chose pour l'enfant à part la bougie et les "retrouvailles" à la fin lorsqu'il est avec sa mère.

I was rather confused half way through, but by the end; I had a couple of tears of joy in my eyes for the poor passenger. At least he was finally able to reunite with his family in the end; even if it is apparently in death
