Sometimes I forget that the MD-11 was a passenger plane, to me it’s always been a cargo plane

It was supposed to be a passenger and cargo plane. When the 777-200ER came to the market in 1997, lots of airlines sold their MD-11 to cargo airlines. KLM kept passenger versions until retirement

This 30 years old MD 11 KLM that's amazing very nice airplane engine on top, the two engines. The six windows on the front like the space shuttle two on front & two on each side. All airplanes six windows on the front like the Shuttle.

The texturing of the cockpit is fenix level. It doesn’t have that weird look all the inibuilds aircraft seem to have which is a good sign!

Flew this route with this aircraft many times ❤ We called the cockpit a “ballroom” as it was huge compared to Boeing aircraft. Once landed in Vancouver with a camera crew on board, we were with 7 present in the cockpit at touchdown 😅 Dearly missed the 11 when it was phased out of KLM and had a hard time getting used to the cramped flight decks of Boeing. Not to mention the absolute crappy ergonomics Boeings used to have, Douglas was far ahead in its time.

Thank you! My settings vary across different aircraft. At first the md11 was pretty sensitive and turning down the reactivity setting helped a lot but then they released an update fixing it :)

No reshade. Nvidia filters with higher contrast and cooler temperature tint. Graphics are set high to ultra ;)
