Fun Fact: We all know that the Gods can use their powers to summon background singers in their songs. But Athena doesn't do this. She always sings alone. In 'Warrior of The Mind', Athena never does this for her own lines. She only does it once, and it was when Odysseus is the one singing. And then in 'My Goodbye', Athena only started doing it after Odysseus said she's always "Alone". Perhaps Athena never did it because Odysseus was all she really needed. Maybe she only started because she felt a bit insecure and lonely when Odysseus called her out for it.

From the video on callbacks, Jorge said that Tiresias sees "all of time, ALL THE TIME" - he doesn't see Odysseus (also on the account of being blind) but he sees a torrent of past and future images as our boi approaches. He cannot turn those visions off. And then Tiresias tries to convey the ones he sees most clear as they fly by so fast.

It's my understanding that almost every line in the prophets chorus actually has a dual meaning that is designed to refer to multiple events in both the future and past events at the same time: For example: "Song of past/passed romance" could refer to both the past Penelope romance and the 'passed' Circe romance in the previous songs at the same time. I imagine that each time the prophet repeats the chorus he is actually referring to different events in time. First chorus (past) and second chorus (future). Even the "no longer you" line in the first chorus can refer to how Odysseus changed between being willing to kill the infant to his interactions with Polites convincing him to try sparing Polyphemus, the act that caused Athena to leave him because he changed. (portrayal of betrayal)

Fun little speculation: At the end of the song the backing choir vocals for Tiresias's Reprise have been partially deciphered and are in order as such- "I see you on the brink of death- (Siren's song, Sea of Blood)" - Foreshadow "I see you draw your final breath- (You can't leave, Loving Her)" - Likely Odysseus's own fears and insecurities in that moment "I see a man who gets to make it home alive- (Poseidon)" - Poseidon is drawn out but it's also a callback to ruthlessness and underworld The next choir chant picks up just before "But it's no longer you." and sounds akin to "He will kill suitors for love." - Foreshadowing and finally during his fall and Tiresias's exit one can hear Odysseus's name extremely drawn out until the songs decresendo.

Yeah... This animatic is very blatant about what the prophet actually means. It's like reading a Percy Jackson book but the prophesy has a cheat sheet next to it explaining the actual meaning of each line. I really like Ximena's because it stays a bit vague about what it actually means and doesn't reveal the true meaning. It's also just amazing in a bunch of other ways. I'd absolutely recommend checking it out even if you don't make a video reacting to it.

I've always liked to view the prophet's "I see a song of past romance. I see the sacrifice of man." etc lines as mentions to both the past AND future. Tiresias sees both, so I like to think that he uses the same words to describe different events; some that have already happened and some that are still yet to come.

Jorge did share almost the full song title/saga list at one point, except for two mystery song, that is not part of the original Odyssey story, but will be part of Epic only. (We will hear them on july 4th in Thunder Saga) There are also so many amazing snippets of future songs, including both of those scenarios that Mortius and Casper talked about in their future speculations.

My interpretation is that when Tiresias says he sees "the past and future running free" is that the concept of time is completely jumbled in his head, and the chorus can very easily refer to both future and past events, especially considering how vague greek prophecies have the tendency to be. When I hear the song I tend to imagine the first chorus singing about the past and the second about the future, also I associate Polites death with the first "brother's final stand" more than "sacrifice of man"

I have to admit, before Mortius mentioned this above, I wondered if the two choruses were each referring to different… forms? Of each prediction/vision, including PAST events as well as future, since Tiresias says he sees both. Like, I thought maybe the first one went like: Past romance: Odysseus & Penelope before Troy Sacrifice of man: Odysseus killing the infant Portrayals of betrayals: Polyphemus arguably ‘betraying’ Odysseus’ attempt at a bargain A brother’s final stand: The death of Polites Brink of death/final breath: Ruthlessness and/or their entry to the Underworld No Longer You: Foreshadowing Odysseus about to become the monster. And then the second chorus shows us the more present/future issues: Past romance: Either a flash of some of Odysseus’ more recent visions of Penelope (like when he fell asleep in KYFC), or Circe’s face (or another character I can’t name here for spoilers). Portrayals of betrayals: The men opening the bag in ‘Storm’. A brother’s final stand: Casper’s a prophet again. Brink of death/final breath: Another spoiler, so can’t say it here. No Longer You: Basically what we got here, since the ‘man with a trail of bodies’ already covers this. Also, do the red-cloaked chanting souls here remind anyone else of the ‘mea culpa’ chorus in the song ‘Hellfire’ from Disney’s H.O.N.D?

So, another animatic I’ve watched for this song that I absolutely love is from another creator called Krieo that had the first verse chorus being things that had already happened in act one and verse two chorus being flashes of what will happen in act two. So verse one chorus had Song of Past romance = Penelope or Cercie Sacrifice of man = Odysseus dropping the infant Portrayals of betrayal = the crew opening the bag A brother’s final stand = the death of Polites The second verse chorus is all spoilers for what is going to happen in act two but anyone who doesn’t know the Odyssey won’t know what those things mean until they actually happen. I highly recommend going and watching it.

So I don’t know if anyone else thought of this (pretty sure a lot of people might of lol) but Casper in a previous video (can’t remember which one lol) mention about a back and forth duet that would sound something Like when the piano is more bouncy when tirasia’s prophecy talks about odyssey’s place, his wife etc, to me is like a way to say odyssey’s is dancing with death not just because he and his men are in the underworld but it’s also referring to dancing with death in the future when he might have to face and fight his men or right hand man. tiresias is supposed to see "all of time, all the time". he sees both odysseus' past AND his future when he looks at him. the lyrics are purposefully vague enough to refer to big events that will happen in act 2 as well as past events from act 1. this saga is all about thinking back on odysseus' past actions, after all! :) i did see a lot of people immediately jumping to one conclusion and sticking to it when no longer you first came out without realizing it's supposed to have multiple meanings lol. off the top of my head lines like "portrayals of betrayal", for example, can be about both the crew opening the bag and well, whatever's coming in the thunder saga.

Two things! (No Spoilers) Thing 1: Because the chorus is said twice, I think the first time has to do with Ody's past and the 2nd time has to do with his future. Thing 2: About that tiktok with that person tryna figure out the background vocals. A comment on it from __Chubbi says "Sirens call, King of Gods, You could be, running far, from Poseidon, kill all the suitors for love” which sounds so correct! I think that might be it!
