​@@jc9240actually, it was very common and very popular. Old time Barbers I work with tell me about the days of smoking, we even still have ashtrays on our 1957 barber chairs. And how they use to shave? Instead of having the customer "ball the chin", the barber use to stick his hand in the clients mouth to get a good stretch and a smooth swish lol
