A short collection of some classic monologues from The Paul Hogan Show (1979/80) as told by Hoges himself.
Paul Hogan has only ever played one character......himself. It is this Paul Hogan character that has taken him from the scaffolds of the Harbour Bridge to the very top of Hollywood. Paul's television career began in 1971 when he appeared on 'New Faces' as a blindfolded tap dancing knife thrower. Fifteen years later his movie 'Crocodile Dundee' was breaking box office records around the world. From runner-up in an amateur talent quest to writing, producing and starring in the most successful Australian film ever made.... Paul Hogan was destined for stardom from the moment he greeted his first audience with a casual "G'day".
From the "Best of the Paul Hogan Show" 2 DVD-set.

So underrated as a comedian. Didn't have to use profanities very much even though that's a part of the Aussie culture. To the rest of the world he will always be Crocodile Dundee... To Aussies he's just... Hoges. I've always wanted to buy the man a few beers and just tell some stories and I think most blokes would do the same.

Great humor. I discovered him when in Australia. Loved his shows! Reminds me at times of the humor of Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Red Skelton, Bob Hope , and of course, wrapped into his own Aussie slapstick! What wonderful down to earth comedy. Hard to find someone like him today!

for anyone interested i took the last part and wrote it all down, enjoy You are Australian be fair, just and unbiased in your praise to people who endeavour to entertain you, except pommie cricketers. Rotate your tyres Head and listen to the advice of those senior to yourself, even though they be galas know what to kiss, and when Consider that two wrongs never make a right but three do Look after your feet, they stop your legs from freying Be comforted that despite the threat of nuclear holocaust, the imbalance of world power, the lamb can still lay down with the lion, but the lamb won’t get much sleep You are a child of Australia greatest nation on earth, but unfortunately the rest of the world is laughing behind your back Remember that if you can keep your head while everyone around you is losing theirs , you’ll be the tallest person in the room Know yourself, if you need help call lifeline don’t bore me with your problems Exercise caution in your daily affairs especially with those persons closest to you that dickhead on your left for instance Be assured that a walk through the ocean of most souls will scarcely wet your feet fall not in love therefore it will stick to your face Realise the value of friendship as you pass through the electrical storms of life, make sure your companion is holding the umbrella Employ people with hooks For a good time ring 177347, ask for Bruce Take comfort in the knowledge that marrowbone jelly is good for your dog And reflect that any misfortune may be your lives things could only be worse in Brisbane Youth of Australia take heart for despite the ravages of inflation, unemployment, pollution, apathy and the general deterioration of this great nation, there is still one hope, pack up and migrate to Europe

Pommie isn't a derogative term in Australia .we call all the English poms.because most English are very white not used to the sun and when most go through their first summer here the turn crimson red ,the same colour as a pomegranate. Americans we call the Seppos ,short for septic tank rhymes with yank and are full of shit.
