no, he's got it right on the money. The only research that needs to be done is on your end. Read ALL the information out there and you will learn that Michael did not do this in self defense. He killed Angel and then took all his drugs and money and split among the three of them. Yes the three of them. YOU probably didn't even know there were three people there besides Angel. 18,000 dollars and 8 bundles of dope. He knew what he was doing.

You may be right. But I feel like Michael just has a really bubbly personality and tries to always come off happy. I'm sure he hasn't always been happy considering how his life has gone. I always question why he killed someone and then followed that by dismembering the body, but I think honestly he was just not in his right mind. I think the drugs had him so wound up in his own little world that when he killed angel he was like "oh no I can't get caught because I need drugs" and so he just did what he thought he had to do to cover it up. He did say it was a relief when the cops arrested him though. This is just one way to view it though. Honestly, either way its so wrong. I think Michael has to know that. But honestly maybe he is just a self absorbed psychopath. There's no way to truly know what he thinks.

He speaks of these events like he's talking about a camping trip with friends. I don't expect him to self-flagellate every second of every day, but everything out of this convicted killer's mouth seems like self-righteous narcissism. He has not expressed one shred of honest remorse about what he did, and his profiting from his notoriety. Had he not been sent to prison, Michael Alig would either be dead or a has-been junkie no one cares about or talks about. I understand my opinion doesn't matter to most people, and I am fine with that. But Michael, if you truly are remorseful for what you did, you should be sharing part of everything you make with the Melendez family. As "fabulous" as you thought you were in another life, the majority of people who know who you are now would have no clue who you were if you didn't commit this horrible crime. You ruined a family, and that family has a right to be compensated for anything your notoriety has netted you. I am not assuming that you are making bank, but even if it's a dime they deserve at least a nickel of it. He has been forthcoming on a lot of things and does not shy away from the conversation, which is great. I just don't think the full weight of what he did, or how it affected others has sunk in yet and part of him still lives in the delusional fantasy world he created for himself 20+ years ago. Start a college fund or scholarship program in Angel's name. He was into acting/directing so maybe donate profits to a local acting workshop. I think the best way to show you are remorseful is to keep the name of the person whose life you ruined alive.

In Shockumentary, there is video of Alig in his apartment with the red hair and a huge gash on his neck - after they killed Angel. There are several people who say he, did in fact, have a party while Angel was in their bathroom. It's always been a part of the record but here again, everyone is lying but Michael?
@DOOMGENERATION8 жыл бұрын
I also had to think of that video snippet when he talked about it. But maybe it was not a party out of Michael's perception but just a night of friends randomly coming over and hanging out. That's at least what it looked like to me, and I think that was a pretty common thing to do for them back then. I guess if they would've thrown a party it would've been a crazy mess and not like what we see in that footage.
@TuesdayMoney8 жыл бұрын
It's been awhile since I have seen Shockumentary but Gitsie also says there was a party - she was there. Friends over... it looked pretty packed to me. It was definitely more than a couple friends. In any case, he was also on film smiling about how he killed Angel because he was a clingon or a wannabe (can't remember the specific ad hominem). It was truly disturbing and while I would like to believe Michael has changed and has served his time - I mean it's totally possible it was self-defense but, Michael doesn't make it easy for me to believe him when his story is always changing. I guess you could argue that it's been a long time ago and it's hard to remember everything but this guy has been lying for so long that I'm not sure he really even knows the truth at this point. Watching these videos he's doing now has pretty much confirmed that he is back to drinking and likely doing drugs again. Some of these videos, he looked absolutely hammered. I don't know about his friends but I think they should be a bit concerned. If it's drugs that "set him off" as he claims, then beware.

But watching and listening to our little protagonist here... I really dont have a feeling that HE HIMSELF wants to stop this whole mess getting worse. Remember; this is coming from a guy who also has a history of abusing HC drugs....and a person who usually have much more empathy for people like Michael. I think a lot of people forget that he didn't actually kill Angel, Freez is the one who hit him on the head. In my humble opinion, I don't think it was premeditated murder. Freez saw Angel on top of Alig and in his panic he hit him. The lashes or on the back of his Angel's head. Everyone saw the gash on the back of Alig's neck. It very well seems like it was a self-defense type situation. I don't think people realize how drugs distort the mind, he called his mother in a panic asking what he should do, he did what he had to do because they were beyond the point of turning themselves in. I truly think he felt guilt and was telling everyone cause he couldn't bear to look at his peers, when Angel's brother talked to him he looked to the ground. the guy felt guilt he was put in an awful situation. I don’t know some ppl may not agree yes killing someone is a sin no matter what but I just think in some way the three of them were victims of the drugs bc shit actually happens when people are not in their five senses and have a clear mind perfect example. I’m not justifying Michael and freeze but they all have fault angel for feeding that addiction, Freeze for actual being the one who’s killed him by hitting him with the hammer and Michael for contributing to chopping the body with freeze. The three of them had choices as a person and each of them decided to live that way. I understand the family point of view of angel bc no matter what angel will not come back. Also it’s obvious that Michael had a a conscious and couldn’t live with the guilt. Now he has served his time in jail which lost almost two decades of his life and probably never be completely happy

Hey Michael and Ernie. I've only recently started researching the Club Kids and your story in particular Michael. Im a media student and Im doing my dissertation on the movie Party Monster, I'm not really analyzing the film from a story standpoint because my course has mainly been about the actually filmography but these videos offer an AMAZING insight into what really happened and give me so much to write about. I really just wanted to thank you for actually speaking about what happened so honestly and differentiating the truth from the fiction. I think you've more than served your time and from your other videos i can clearly see you're remorseful and I hope you dont take this the wrong way but you have steered me well away from drugs. good luck to you.

Steven Roby If I may throw in a comment on this; OK, what he did was HC brutal shit, nobody is denying that.... but he did serve 17 years or so, and while inside, he was beaten, raped, suffering HC heavy heroin withdrawl and what not. I say that maybe he deserves a 2nd chance and freedom instead of "rotting in jail forever"......BUT; as far as calling him "sweetheart" and seeing him as being so remorseful and so on... (looking at you two; Bilja 13 & Martin).... I really think that your empathy and fascination with M Alig are little to heavy....or to strong.... I belive your attentions are pure and honest, but dont be naive...... ppl like him in general shouldnt be admired so much, and dont deserve to be a subject of numerous dissertations, analyses, conversations, movies, books, docs, etc..... Those are exactly the things that glorifies him, and feeds him and his egoistic sociopathic personallity.... which he has 100%...no doubt.!!!! Wheater he 'll ever or never commite another crime. He s 50+ years old, he is smart, experienced, he has manipulative personality to a degree and so on.... Therefore, dont buy this fresh out of prison new found good persona he is selling.... He may be changed to a degree.... but in his core he will always be what he is..... just like all of us. And new, young, upcoming enthusiastic ppl like you are perfect for supplying him with what his persona needs to survive at this point. No offence to anybody, PEACE!!!! (sry for my poor english, it is my 2nd language)....

Hey kittens, I think the topics that you talk about are so fascinating. I have an absolute obsession with all things club kids so these videos really excite me. Having said that, I think you should have a bit more structure around what you're discussing, cause some of the videos sometimes come across as a lot of mindless chatter with not as much substance as they could. No hate, but something to think about when you making videos :)

My childhood friend (neighborhood friend) bludgeoned his parents with a framing hammer and did throw a party while his parents' bodies were underneath a pile of furniture in the master bedroom. I was there, and I've been around enough fucked up shit to know when something is off, and there were bits of blood that were still in the baseboards of the walls in the hallway that he didn't quite clean up too well because he was high off his ass...I know what death smells like and I smelled death. I immediately left cause fuck that. I'm no angel and I've done some fucked up things while high or drunk, but I've never murdered anyone...granted, I know fellow people in recovery who have, and it's a sensitive subject with them. I just hope you feel remorse and forgive yourself eventually, because that's a pain I've only had a microdose of and it was bad enough. Just....man...don't capitalize on it...sheesh. Someone died. It's serious, and I think you know that. I was also under the impression that he attacked you and you fought back. Oh, and sorry for throwin' shade on your other video--I just had a reaction. Desmond actually seems pretty cool, I just have my worries about kids, y'know? I love it when people explore, but I also worry about people's motives and dysfunctions (not like I don't have plenty heh) and I worry about him getting put in a bad situation. Anyway, I'm rambling. Stay fabulous.

Isn't Disco Bloodbath meant to be a novel? Or a novelisation? O I don't know... I always preferred the title "Disco Bloodbath" to "Party Monster" although movie companies like to make statements like "MACAULAY CULKIN IS THE PARTY MONSTER!" and that kind of crap

Just for the record you can draw up Drano in a hypodermic needle. You would have to use the same needle that people use to draw up testosterone and oil. When testosterone is in a little bottle it's with sesame seed oil or some other type of oil that makes it very very thick but if you use an IM needle which is enormous you can draw it up and then injected into your butt. So if it can do that it can certainly draw up Liquid Drano.

I'm glad you're all recovered now; you're such a big inspiration and responsible of a lot of the underground/drag culture we have right now. I wished your story was something everyone learned from, but it doesn't seem to happen. I hope you take all your experience and rename to teach the new generations that being a club kid or part of a subculture is all about being yourself, about creativity and self-expression, and when drugs are involved, you're doing nothing but destroying all of that. Best wishes x
