I read some logic somewhere today that if the Grizz would have won a game against the Mavs or someone else it would have then allowed the Mavs to be in the position the Grizz were in going into the draft.. therefore the Mavs would have then had the first overall pick because that one possible win would have effected the pels odds going into the draft. The funny thing is that no one knows how any of these drafted players are going to turn out. You could have a superstar in the 2nd round and huge bust in the first. The 28th overall pick could outperform the 1st overall pick or the 45th overall pick could outperform the 4th overall pick...then what? Even after players are drafted it's still going to be a lottery for teams because they won't know how players will perform until they play for their respective teams.
