I was brought up In Pendleton parish, my fathers side of the family were from Sabden for many generations. I loved living where I could see the hill every day but I moved to Scotland 28 years ago.

the little animated figures bring it to life brilliantly and the pendle countryside is very evocative.

Two things, Witchcraft is not always an evil thing - unlike many of the religions that replaced it. The second thing, most of those killed were just poor beggars or single old women who had land - something many were envious of. James was a shit! The detestable followers of the devil can be found on most churches and kirks throughout the land or world.

I did not know England had mountains that big. wow! I thought it was all meadows and hills.

Pendle Hill isn't big. There are much bigger hills that ARE mountains and though they don't compare to the Alps, the Himalayas, Rockies, etc, they are beautiful.

No it doesn't. It's about 25kms east of the M6 - you may be able to glimpse it from the M6, but it doesn't 'rise up from the M6'!
