Theory, we know from The Batman that Carmine had a habit of strangling women. What if Sofia was covering for Carmine by tampering with the bodies of his victims to make it look like they hung themselves. Because the bodies were tampered with Carmine couldn’t be prosecuted and because they were dead before Sofia hung them she couldn’t be tried for the murders, but that is how she got the nickname and ended up at Arkham ?

I don't think so at all. Episode 2 was almost the same as episode 1! Penquin gets in trouble and needs his new sidekick to help him but this time the side kick messes up. And I understand that Oz mother suffer's from dementia but is she gonna wear that same dress every time we see her. Was she a Batman villain at one time?

Glad I’m not the only one that noticed the November 2022 date on the Falcone tomb. Literally picking up right after the events of the first movie. No time jump to present day. The Penguin is an absolute masterpiece. Can’t wait for The Batman 2!

I really like the Sofia Falcone writing. She's vicious but highly intelligent and calculating, while simultaneously being compromised and psychologically fragile. Just a deep character, well done, and extremely well-acted by Cristin Milioti.

I believe the penguin is going to do unspeakable things by the conclusion of the series and this will set him up perfectly as the next villain of Batman. So far, we as the audience kind of like him and understand him. You can’t have that for the next Batman movie unless the Penguin won’t be introduced as the main villain yet again. Quite possibly, the death of his mother will set him off big time. Victor is for sure going to be one of Penguins victims by the end.

Matt Reeves has said he didn't want to do an origin story BUT he is. He's showing us THE STORIES origin, that old school Batman story from his early days the noir stories with intrigue and suspense. It's done really well.

The episode was pretty solid I still loved the crime boss family dynamic including Oz, Sofia, and Viti including Maroni v Falcone so Oz jus playing with both sides I really can’t wait to see other crime families come into the show to build out the universe of the Bat-Verse so I’m hyped for more The Penguin I loved Vic and Oz dynamic plus Sofia is such an interesting character I can’t wait to see more of him!
