Epic episode & breakdown. My prediction for episode 7. Sophia and Sal are going to kill Victor and his mother in front of him. Then, knowing people call him Penguin, they are going to mold his fingers together to make his hands like flippers. Probably scar him like Sophia was scarred in Arkham. He's going to somehow get away and when he no longer has his mother or Victor around, people he actually cared about, he's going to lose it and the rest of the "gangs" will see what he's been put through and lived, they are going to definitely side with him or be killed. The Triad leader is already dead for having called him Penguin, thus making Zhao the new leader of the Triads. We witnessed Colin Farrell morp into Oswald Cob, now my friends...we will witness Oswald being morphed into Penguin. Batman 2 will be epic. I feel a lot of Batman Returns in this series, but this series is so well written and acted.

It's a cowardly way to kill, but Squid was bigger and stronger than him so stabbing and beating him are out, so how else would you have went about writing it while also not wasting a ton of screen time on that B plot mostly shown JUST to show Victor's slow descent into the life?

The genius of throwing the beer at them. It neutralizes their aggression and it also makes it easier to get them to say yes we agree with you without saying it verbally since they are all very egotistic. The episode also shows that one does not necessarily need gratuitous violence, explosions and sex scenes to make a great show. What one needs is a GOOD WRITING. awesome show 👌🏼

Vic dancing with Oz's mother moved me in such an unexplainable way. Her innocent reaction to the music breathes warmth into the hellish world these people inhabit. Distraught after killing Squid, Vic is able to share in this innocence and allows himself a moment of peace. Oz told Vic that his Ma is what keeps him good. I keep wondering what he'll do after she's gone.

@@flyinglions2223 I think it's been established though now that she's fully on board with the 'hangman' image, otherwise she would've never killed her family like that. She has to be ruthless as the new gigante crime boss, and she has a personal vendetta against Oz, so combining that with the fact she's never had to deal with taking care of a loved one and that her family was all about using their familial links dispassionately to maintain their own power, I wouldn't put it past her to take it all out on Francis. The hesitation? That was for dramatic purposes lol.

Cristin Milioti who played Sofia should also get an award. This was my first time seeing her in anything and she was amazing! Mike Marino also deserves an award for creating the prosthetics for Penguin's face. The transformation from Colin Farrell to the Penguin was phenomenal! 💯

The scene between Sofia and Eve was the best in the episode and arguably the season. Very tense but Sofia clearly has a level of respect for Eve’s loyalty to her girls Vic didn’t even have to tell Os what he did bc Os knows the look of a killer. Great writing all around for this series

In the last scene, when she starts dancing, We hear a "Thud" sound of the door. Which sounded like someone broke in. And victor also notices that sound but ignores it. He thought he'll check it out later, he didn't wanna kill the happy vibes of the mother. She seemed happy after a long time.

Penguin's speech at the end also reminded me a lot of Tyrion Lannister's speech during his trial in season 4. It had a very similar energy to it, especially looking at the performances. I also thought that the outfit he wore during that scene looked suspiciously a lot like the one Penguin wears in either Arkham Origins or City.

This episode was so fkin crazy that ending scene left me so my anxiety I was like please don’t end it here man bc that was fkin crazy asf! I love Oz and Vic dynamic is so interesting especially after Vic’s first kill, Sofia and Sal dynamic is like a father/daughter thing which is really heartwarming, Sofia and Eve dialogue and conversation was really intriguing bc of the overall power dynamics throughout the show, Sofia and Dr. Rush relationship kink is fkin wild man😂 but the final shot of Vic and Oz’s Mom dancing while Sofia watching them with a crowbar had me on the edge man I can’t wait for next Sunday but goddamn that was fkin good and dreadful ending! Can’t wait for more The Penguin!

Had to chuckle at the beginning when, after his lil speech to his crooks saying that his/our names will be remembered, the title of the show The Penguin appears in big letters (knowing that he hates it, but we know that this is what he'll be remembered by).

I think THAT's the point, I think not at the end of THIS season most likely, but the end of Season 2 or 3 He'll say something along the lines of "Ya know, I used to HATE being called 'The Penguin' it reminded me of my bum leg, and the name sounded like a joke, hell, made me feel like a joke. In fact this whole thing started because Alberto Falcone called me 'Penguin' and laughed at me. Nowadays, more and more I'm thinkin, 'Yeah, Penguin, it's actually the perfect name for me.' It's not too serious, not too flashy, but it sticks out. No one takes someone named 'Penguin' seriously, til I want them to, by then its too late. I think I'm gonna embrace that name, take what used to be my weakness, and turn it to a strength." Something along those lines, embracing what he used to hate. I think he'll do that with more than just the name too. I also think, as the events of "The Batman" helped Oswald rise, I think the events of "The Batman 2" will give rise to Oswald, and maybe in Season 2, his main adversary will either be Black Mask or The Joker. They touched on it here the penguin "Has a code" it's shaky, but he has a code, The Joker, has no code, no plan, no rhyme, and no reason, he just does. That's a PERFECT foil to Penguin I believe. Like to where Penguin won't snitch of help the Batman to stop anyone else, but Joker as he perceives Joker to be a psychopath who goes too far, like he perceives Riddler. I also think, eventually, Penguin will need Riddlers mind for a task, and he'll have to use his power on the street to break Riddler out of Arkham, that or Riddler will manipulate Penguin into doing so.

The deal Oz makes with the lower gangs absolutely means something right now because he now has the manpower to go after the Maronis and Gigantes. He outright says, "Everything you've heard about me is true", meaning that he's admitting to be a two-timing snake, and they sign up with him anyway. The show is also about Oz's rise to power. There are 2 episodes left. They most definitely are not about to have Penguin experience another fall in the last two episodes. The last 2 episodes will be Penguin, taking out Sofia and Sal and finally taking over.
