I don't know what Oz will do to make us hate him as a villain in Batman but it'll have to be significant. He genuinely seems to care about Victor. Every scene with those two is great. Matt Reeves Batman universe is peak DC right now. If Oz can talk his way out of flat leaving Sofia after telling her she can trust him, that will be Super Saiyin level improvising lol

I'll be honest, considering how well this version of Penguin goes, i wouldn't be surprised if down the line they will revamp Coblepot in the rest of Batman media to be this sleasy untrustworthy grey morality man. I mean, people already get used to this version, so seeing a typical villain Penguin in future projects would make a whiplash with CObblepot being depicted as a violent shortstack douchebag that cackles each time he shoots a man. But I guess Penguin's short temper will still be a thing in whatever depiction it will be.
