That was one of the more realistic stutters I’ve seen portrayed on the screen. It was refreshing to see it done accurately-as an anxiety response in this case, and more as a series of false starts than repetition of just any syllable wherever the actor feels like putting it. In a show with a disabled main character, this stuff matters.

I wasn’t sure about Collin Ferrell as the Penguin, even after watching the Batman. This show has completely changed my mind and it’s only the first episode, I can’t wait how they show his rise to power and his acceptance as being labeled “The Penguin”.

Fantastic start for this series. Colin continues to be awesome as Oz/ Penguin in this take of the character. Continue to love the look of this version of Gotham City . Cristin Milioti absolutely nailed the part of Sofia Falcone and can’t wait to see her go bat shit crazy. Fun fact, she played one of Johnny Sac’s daughters on the Sopranos in the later seasons.

There are moments when I am watching these episodes where I remind myself that this guy is Colin Ferrell and it blows my mind. Absolutely unreal. It goes beyond even the prosthetics and make up. The voice, the ticks.. just wow. Dude deserves ALL the awards.
