I love this series. Perfect balance between you can do it and its a long, time consuming ton of work. One thing I took away from this series- before I ever try to paint my fox I will make sure I have the time to put into it. Its going to take longer than I think.

So older vid I know, but you problem isnt so much the bumper extensions being too thin. Its the bumper itself, Its made of that yellow plastic-ish material that warps, and misshapes it self with the slightest sunray on a breeze. Adjusting the bumper maybe with a heat gun before paint, is about the only option. (too late now, I see the job is done, great job by the way).

When you painted the jams, did you apply clear to? If so, what did you do to prevent a hard "tape line"?

I taped it behind where the weatherstripping goes and out as close to the edge of the door as I could get.
