I would consider pairing it with a 6700XT/6750XT for $330, its just as fast if not faster and $100 less. You can easily do the 6750XT factory OC yourself so it does not matter what one you get. Get the cheapest for $300 or buy one used $230. The 4060Ti does have the better features, its a subjective choice.

@@OzTalksHW quite happy with it, more stable than id expected but AM5 is not that new anymore of course. Having some trouble with the curve optimizer though. On Ryzen 5000 i just ran prime95 small fft and if it didn't error it was good. On this setup however it can be rock solid in prime95, even with avx-512, but I'll get random idle reboots, game stutters and bluescreens. a 6 core/12 thread CPU with modern IPC for $125 is insane value. I remember back 10 years ago when spending ~$100 got you Intel's shittiest I3 or the next step down and you needed to spend like $350 just to nab the latest 4 core/8 thread i7. The fact someone can slap a machine together, throw in a modest or even fairly beefy GPU (within reason) and completely slam all casual games and most AAA titles is crazy.

I bought a 7500f on Aliexpress for $133 that includes shipping. I was also thinking about pairing it with a 6700xt gpu but was also thinking about the 6650xt but people suggested I go with a 6700xt I guess. I do want an am5 mobo which I'll stick with being the ASRock pro rs with wifi one I know its a bit more like being around 160 with the tax abd eveything but I'll consider going cheaper in regards to that if I don't have to do anything with the motherboard to work with the cpu. Can't wait to have it though I still need a lot of other components. I already have a case which is the Apevia Prism in Pink. This will be my first build and the aesthetic I'm going for is Pink and white/black components!
@ThrasherEscapes8 ай бұрын
awesome! the extra 4gb of video memory on the 6700xt/6750xt is definitely worth it in my opinion. won't matter most of the time, but in some newer titles it will be the difference between being able to rock ultra settings on textures vs having to drop down to medium. should be able to use a 12gb vram gpu longer than the 8gb 6600/6600xt/6650xt cards, so it's not hard to justify so long as you can afford it. good luck with this new adventure!

good call - right in your power alley - my only concern would be if you want to upgrade gpu will it be able to drive a fast gpu - how much cpu power you need for 4k will be a topic but also notably the price on these cpu should drop even more once new gen zen5 is out - you should get some price/perf graphs ready to identify sweet spot for best over all chips - performance and value composite will be a moving target

CPU utilization does not increase much with resolution. 4k resolution will require much more GPU compared to CPU. CPU utilization is much higher with lower resolution
